My iphone 2g wont turn on, i replaced the lcd, it worked ok, my batter was low. so it died and i was trying to turn it on, but it wont turn on. when i plug in the wall charger nothing happens,but when i press on the on button while charger pluged in, apple sign comes on for 2 second everytime i press on the on button, but it wont turn on. and if i try it without charged plugged in, nothing happens? any idea

My problem is quite similar... My iphone works in some parts of delhi and it shows no service for other parts of delhi... If i use idea sim on my iphone, it works absolutely fine... and if i use my airtel sim on any other phone then also things appear ok..

any ideas?

This is because your battery is so flat it doesnt even have the power to turn off properly,and the program does often get "stuck" when this happens. Remove the battery, recharge the phone and it should be ok.

Your LCD assembly is going bad.
or has gone bad.
Is your phone unlocked?
if so some unlockers will also cause this malfunction.
But most likely the digitizer in the lcd assembly is bad.
if it is a 3G you can replace the outer glass and digitizer for around 40.00 for the part and 35.00 labor.

Try using another cable or charger. A damaged charger or cable could cause it not to charge. 
Otherwise, contact apple or apple store for repair.

Jailbreaking your iPhone to 2.2 is going to mess up your phone. I've got a jailbroken 2.2 iPod Touch and it's ok - a friend of mine also tried to jailbreak his iPhone to 2.2 and lost connections as well.

Downgrade back to 2.1 and you should be ok.
