Not with a "tasco" there a bit of a cheepy scope, if it was a good make then it would be worth the cost of the repair, put it this way,,,the scope you fit to your rifle should cost 3 times more that the rifle did! a tasco scope on e-bay costs what? £150.00p to be honest theres a big "0" missing from that price?

Tasco scope

It will work on any rifle with the appropriate rings. Tasco is a lower end scope maker. Some say that you should pay as much for the glass as you do on the rifle.

Do i have to loosen set screws on turrets to zero scope or do i zero and leave the set screws where they are to shoot at different distances? thx. 6x24x42 varmint with mil dot reticle.

Sight in your scope, Loosen the set screws and zero the dials the re-set the set screws. This will make it easy for you to adjust for distance and wind from the zero setting when in the field shooting. Then you can go back to your zero.

I have tasco #62TR rifle scope. I has stadia crosshairs and an adjustable top turret with various ranges for elk, deer, and antelope. However I cannot find any paperwork describing these features, and I...

Sight in rifle and put the on top turret with zero facing back.do not let knob"click".Aim at animal and adjust power(3-9etc)until body is bracketed by both crosshairs.Look in little window in eyepiece for type of animal.Click top turret to proper yardage(200,300etc).This allows for bullet drop.I've had one on a .270 for 30 yrs and never used this feature.

well one day you may lurn that cheap is cheap! and tasco is rubbish cheap! i would say without dought the cross hair in the scope has shaken apart,,,due to recoil,,,a 30-06 has a big recoil
try holding the rifle stock on your jaw and firing the rifle off?
when or if,, you wake up in hospital with a shaterd jaw and with no teeth left in it you will know then! and cheap tasco scope is an air rifle scope it cant take 2500ft/lbs of recoil???
so it wont take much of a kick to mess it up,,
i put one on a 303 enfield??? i got 3 shots before it fell to bits!
if your going to buy cheap scope's go for nicon gold crown?

Tasco 6x24x42 cosistancey issues afield.

It has to settle in to the mounts an the mounts to the gun. You take a screw driver and tap on the scope as you adjust it. Tap with the handle and just tap it not bang. every time you make an adjustment tap it. The 222 does not give a great kick so you do not get the settling from that, you have to cause it by taping the scope with the screw driver.
