Hi. Thanks for using fixya. I can help you. When clothes get marked or torn in your dryer, check these: Rollers Your dryer may use rollers, or wheels, to support the rear of the clothes drum. When these are worn out, they may cause the clothes drum to drop down slightly, which can pinch the clothes between the top of the clothes drum and the rear of the dryer interior. When the rollers wear out, you need to replace the whole set. Rear seal Your dryer may have a felt-like seal at the rear of the drum. If this seal is worn, torn, or missing, clothes can get caught and torn in the space between the clothes drum and the rear of the dryer interior. When the rear seal wears out, you need to replace it. Front glides Your dryer probably uses nylon or plastic glides at the front of the clothes drum for support. When these are worn out, they may cause the clothes drum to drop down slightly, which can pinch the clothes between the top of the clothes drum and the front of the dryer interior. When the glides wear out, you need to replace them as a set. Front seal Many dryers have a felt-like seal at the front of the drum. If this seal is worn, torn, or missing, the clothes in the dryer may get caught and torn in the space between the clothes drum and the front of the dryer interior. When the seal wears out, you need to replace it. My dryer leaves burn marks on the clothes. What - small_8_13.jpg

Washing your clothes too generally may wear them out quickly, but washing them rarely just gets you dirty clothes. You can wear any time, any place definitely you will feel good.

MY FRIGIDAIRE ELECTRIC DRYER IS LEAVING BURN MARKS ON CLOTHES,WHAT IS CAUSING PROBLEM

Assuming that you have the correct temperature selected for your clothes, there are two likely causes:

If the clothes are showing randomly shaped burn marks, the dryer is overheating. This would be accompanied by a burnt smell on the clothes. The high limit thermostat is the culprit.

If the burn marks are dark streaks, the clothes are getting pinched between the drum and the inside of the dryer that does not move. This is caused by worn bearings, slides or rollers. Should you choose to repair this yourself, there is a great deal on a kit with all of the parts you need plus a new belt for only $32 here:

Whirlpool Duet dryer - "burn marks", "out of round" drum

It's not really BURN marks - it is the adhesive used to affix the felt. You can substitute for silicone to remedy this problem.

The dryer is squealing and leaving burn marks on the clothes

Squeak is caused by a worn out roller rolling metal to metal - Most dryers have rollers, felts and drum slides to balance drum rotation:
When rollers wear off, black powder leaks to rear felts and black marks are left on clothes.
Same thing happens when drum slides wear off (black marks are left on clothes)

Brown marks on my light coloured clothes

I just noticed My Frigidaire doing the same thing. Using a lightly soapy damp cloth, I cleaned the interior, paying particular attention to the small gap between the drum and the housing. I also took apart the lint pre-filter and screen and cleaned them. There was a filmy build up of the same colored substance. I suspect that dryer sheets are leaving a waxy residue that over time is sufficient enough to rub off on lighter colored, primarily synthetic, fabrics.

Dryer door pops open. leaves burn marks on clothes.

check to see if you have bent door hinges first, do this by opening the door all the way down and see if it is level with the floor. if it goes past level then the hinges are bent.
guess someone may have fell on the door or used it as a step.
if so, then you can take a hand towel and roll it up, then put it at the bottom of the door and close the door gently to "bend" the hinges back into place. this will aloow the door to stay closed and should also take care of the "burn" marks on your clothes.
i would guess the unit was overheating from the door not closing right allowing air to enter around the door. that will cause the unit to overheat and leave marks on your clothes.

Parts of clothes get stuck in edge of dryer...seems to burn them.

I have had this same problem with my stack-able dryer. It was leaving small burns on my kids clothes and my good sheets. My dryer has a felt-like seal at the front of the drum. If this seal is worn, torn, or missing, the clothes in the dryer can get caught and scorched or torn in the space between the clothes drum and the front of the dryer interior. My seal was worn out, so I needed to replace it. I had someone come in and do the work the first time but when it wore out again I just order the part and replaced it myself. It is fixable:)
