This is a really good article that will take you step by step through the settings that will best optimize your battery life. And if this doesn't help you should make an appointment at your local Apple store, they are always very helpful (at least in my experience).

Iphone 5s battery life

My iPhone 5s 64GB battery life is not much better than my 4s 64GB battery life, but considering that the 5s is much much faster than my 4s I guess that's pretty impressive.

Tips and Hints on How to Maximise You iPhone 3GS Battery Life

1. Turn Screen Brightness down to less than a half and turn on Auto Brightness. (Settings - Brightness).

2. Turn off Location Services when you are not using a GPS dependant App. If on a long journey using the iPhone's GPS, only turn the App and the service on every so often. GPS based Apps really eat battery life up!
(Settings - General - Location Services - Off).

3. Turn off Fetch Data. With this feature enabled the iPhone will interrogate the internet or your mail account every so often to fetch data, for example, an e-mail. This drains battery life. (Settings - Mail Contacts - Calendars - Fetch New Data - Push Off).

Or if you really want to keep this feature, just follow the same protocol as above , but instead of switching "Push" off, below that, adjust Fetch Data settings, to fetch on a less regular basis ie Hourly as opposed to every 15 mins.

4. On long journeys when all you need is the iPod functionality, turn Flight Mode on.
(Settings - Airplane Mode Off).

5. Remember to run the battery completely flat every so often. I do it around once a month and then fully charge it again.

6. Turn Bluetooth off.
(Settings - General - Bluetooth Off).

7. For those of us who have an iPhone 3GS or updated software on iPhone, switch on the Battery Percentage for better battery monitoring. (Settings - General - Usage - Battery Percentage On).

8. If you are fairly desperate for battery you can turn off the 3G feature of the iPhone. 3G enables higher browsing speed and better call quality. (Settings - General - Network - Enable 3G Off).

9. Turn Wi-Fi off if not in use. The iPhone will use battery searching constantly for Wi-Fi networks. (Settings - Wi-Fi - Wi-Fi Off).

10. Remember, if you really can't manage with the battery life, you can buy iPhone cases which provide extra battery power.

Good Luck

Quick discharging of the Iphone 3gs battery

perfectly normal. as the iphone is a super-powerful smartphone. also it depends on wich application you are using. 3d games, 3g wireless internet and the PUSH notifications, generally contribute to drain the battery's life. to enlarge you battery's duration i would recommend to disable the push notifications, or at least give them a longer refresh delay. also, it would help if you install a battery monitiring application and lock the phone immediatly after use. the drawback is that you wil hae to manually check you e-mails and other things that depends on the push notifications.

G3 iPHONE - Battery Life

I've got my G3 a couple of months ago and in the setting I adjusted my screen brightness to the minimum level that I feel comfortable with. That did help improving the battery life. Also two more things helped as well. If you keep your bluetooth on at all times that will use your battery. The last thing that I realized was the wifi mode. Since I have free internet access came with the Iphone plan I turned my wi-fi off and it help me with the battery life too. I get avarage of 3 days from my phone without charging it now.

IPhone 3G battery problem

My battery on my iphone used to only last a day when limiting my use. And when I tried to use it normally with all the apps and music and calling people it only went for 10mins and then turned off.

How I fixed this:
It's an ongoing solution. I charged it up until it said 100%, then used it all up until it shut down again. And then I charged it til 100% and then depleted it again. Repeat over 2 weeks and your battery life should get back to normal. It worked for me and now my iPhone works better than ever!
