If your Universal Remote has a "search" feature, look in user manual , or has the device in codes.

Universal solution is to type the model number and the word "manual" into Bing search (or Google). Something should turn up.

Well, it is not possible to configure wireless repeating between WRT160NL and WNDR3700 as WRT160NL does not support wireless repating feature (WDS).

I found that these websites should have all the codes and instructions for most remotes

try repeating all the steps again
if this doesnt help try replacing the batteries and then repat all the steps

My nephue has the same problem i told him to junk it and get a diffrent brand. He did and now he has no problem with the internet. Also I just tried to install it on my PC but all I get is a 10 seconds of internet then it does not connect after that. Thats why I was looking for any info on this problem.

The repeater must be the same brand as the signal it is repeating. Different routers / access points work in slightly different ways and the current generation of wireless repeaters aren't smart enough to work with other brands.

It's kind of like trying to put an engine from a Nissan Altima into a Honda Accord... both make the car move but they aren't the same inside.
