The screen and pictures are black even in light

Hi,

Please make sure that your camera doesn't have a black cover or tax over the lends. This would block any images from being stored whenever you attempt to take a picture. In other words, the camera wouldn't be able "to see". If you can't find any cover, please check that you've properly inserted an SD card for the camera to use and then switch modes (ie action, night time etc) until you see the area that you're attempting to capture come on the camera screen. Otherwise, you might need to get the camera checked at a store like BH Photo and video.

Thank you.

Canon 10-22mm won't get out of MF even when i switched it back to AF. Then the aperture setting is reading as F0/0. I tried reattaching the lens, pulling out and replacing the battery..i don't know how to...

OK... I never thought in a million years that the solution to this problem would have worked for me as I am anal about taking care of my equipment. I am even made fun of as to how I am always cleaning and taking care of my camera equipment. Anyway, I did the pencil eraser thing and it actually worked. Even though the contacts looked perfectly clean and new a couple of good rub strokes and obviously removing the excess eraser debris and whola... it worked perfectly.. I hope this works for you as I only kept reading about horror stories about repair centers and cost... I rubbed and then took a clean cloth and rubbed the contacts afterwards...Good luck!!

Camera will not always power up even with newly recharged batteries. Appears to be problem with on/off switch

Things to check first for a camera that won't turn on are battery contact points, and micro switches that are located on the battery and memory card doors. Troubleshooting tips on other things that need to be checked may be seen here. These tips won't work for every case, but they're worth a try.

Auto focus stopped working

Try cleaning the contacts on the camera and the lens, this is what usually prevents AF from working correctly.

Camera does not work

Hi,

I am having this same error message appear on my phone but this is not the camera its the messages on mine, i can't send or recieve any messages. Suggestions have been made to me that i do a master reset on my phone so you could always try the same thing. Everything will be wiped from the phone so make sure to back up files you want to keep.
