My Acer Ferrari 1100 with VIsta Ultimate x64 bit started having problems the other day.
It now shows a blank screen with the message ''Bootmgr is missing; Please press Ctrl+Alt+Del; couldn't boot up with Vista recovery dvd's as they went missing so I got Spotmau's BootCD ISO file just to be able to boot it up. looks like a total wipeout of C: but D: still seems to be ok.
It boots up with Spotmau BootCD but it also says during scan that there is no Windows present.
So I ran eRecovery Management to reformat C: but got a message
Error 0XC000000 which keeps stopping reformat process.
I would appreciate it if anybody could kindly tell me the best solution to this problem.
Many thanks in advance.
My 0xc000000c problem seemed to result from disk surface damage on the restore DVD. I burned a new copy of the restore DVD and the restore then proceeded normally.
Using a DVD copy program that provides an aggressive read method to extract data from damaged disks might help you the most.
Restore and recovery
The restore and recovery features allow you to restore or recover the system
from a factory default image, from a user created image, or from previously
created CD and DVD backups. You can also reinstall applications and drivers for
your Acer system.
1 Press <Alt> + <F10> or select Acer eRecovery Management from the
Empowering Technology toolbar to start Acer eRecovery Management.
2 Switch to the restore and recovery page by selecting the Restore button.
3 Select the backup point you would like to restore from. You can also
choose to recover the system from a factory default image, recover from a
previously created CD/DVD or reinstall applications and drivers.
4 Follow the instructions on screen to complete the process.
