Garmin 7200 where to get a new touch screen for my garmin 7200 ?

There may be something wrong with the screen. I would suggest either buying a new screen and replacing it yourself or having a professional install a new screen.

It almost makes more sense to simply purchase a new model.

hmmm...did you check for the latest firmware, by chance?

To calibrate the touchscreen on a nuvi 300 or 600 series:

1. Power the unit On.
2. From the Where to? / View map screen, touch Settings (wrench icon).
3. Touch Display.
4. Touch Recalibrate.
5. A new screen will display that says Press Dot.
6. Touch the center of the dot.
7. Keep touching the center of the dot as it moves around the screen.
8. When Calibration Complete appears on the screen, please touch OK.

The touchscreen will now be recalibrated.

If your touchscreen is not responding to any touch and preventing you from recalibrating the touchscreen using the instructions above, please follow the steps below:

1. Connect your nuvi to your computer with a compatible USB cable.
2. Open the Garmin Nuvi drive located in MyComputer/Computer. (Note: Mac users can locate the Garmin Nuvi drive icon on the Desktop.)
3. Open the Garmin folder.
4. Locate and delete the GUPDATE.GCD file.1
5. Safely disconnect your nuvi from your computer.
6. Power the nuvi Off.
7. Power the nuvi on by holding the power button.
8. Continue holding the power button down for 1-2 minutes until the screen calibration option displays.
9. Touch the center of the dot as it moves around the screen.
10. When Calibration Complete appears on the screen, please touch OK.

The touchscreen will now be recalibrated and should respond properly.

From that same menu screen - tap ADVANCED to adjust the volume of NAV, XM, MP3, and LineIn Device.

Try resetting the unit by using a ball point pen or other sharp thing and press it for more than 10 seconds. It would be on the left/right/back side of your unit.

Also, try to hold your finger on the power key for approximately 15 seconds until you see a message "This operation will erase all waypoints, do you want to continue?"

Tap yes and the unit should reboot then attempt to acquire satellites. You will lose any favorites you have saved but it may save you a trip to the factory.

Apparantly a common problem.

My 760 randomly defaults to a non TTS (text to speech) setting. When it does, it won't speak the directions.

Solution from the Garmin Site:

Answer:
This could occur if the voice language has been de-selected. If you can hear the device produce a beeping noise then the voice language needs to be changed or selected. If you do not hear any noise then the FM Transmitter might be selected or the sound has been Muted.
To check the voice language:

1. Touch Tools
2. Touch Settings
3. Touch Language
4. Touch the Voice option
5. Touch on a selection that has TTS* in the description (example: American English - Jill - TTS)
6. Touch OK
7. Touch Back

The device should speak when in a route.
*Note - If the device is a 755, 765, 775, 785 then the selection will contain "Speaks Street Names" in the description.

This doesn't fix Sitfar's problem, but for those how might find this helpful from Garmin's site: Question:  The touch screen is not responding correctly when I touch it. How can I recalibrate the screen?
Answer: To recalibrate the touch screen:

1. Turn the unit off.
2. With the unit off, touch and hold the Power button for 30 - 40 seconds.
3. Follow the instructions on the screen.

As a last resort, you can try a master reset. With the unit off hold your finger on the power key for approximately 15 seconds until you see a message "This operation will erase all waypoints, do you want to continue?"

Tap yes and the unit should reboot then attempt to acquire satellites. You will lose any favorites you have saved but it may save you a trip to the factory.

If the problem persists I would say you have a problem with the internal circuits and repair is the only option.
