If the leak is front and center under the machine, it may be a pump hose leak, but my guess is the impeller has worn through the pump case. Disconnect the power and prop the front of the machine up enough to see under the front. The pump is front and center, mounted on the front of the motor. Use a flashlight to inspect the front of the pump for a curved wear spot on the front of the pump case. If this is the problem and you want to fix it yourself, the pump is available from www.sears.com under the "parts direct" tab. If its just a hose, they are available there also. You'll need your model number, usually found at the back of the main case under the lid. If self fix is possible, here are directions to remove the outer case.
Disconnect the power cord. There is either two screws, one at each front corner, holding the control panel in place or hidden clips. 1. If you see the two screws remove them. If no screws are visible you have a clip at each front corner of the control panel. The best tool to use to unhook these clips is a putty knife. Push the putty knife between the machine top and the control panel at either outer corner. You will feel a spring tension. Push firmly, but not to forcefully toward the back. When the spring releases the corner will lift easily. Repeat at the other corner. 2. Now, if there was two screws holding the panel, remove the two screws at the top on the back of the control panel. If just clips, simply and carefully roll the control panel over the back. 3. Unplug the wire that connects the control panel to the machine top. Stop here and take note as to how the case connects to the back panel. There is an aligner there that will be your hardest part to deal with later. This will help when reassembling. 4. OK, Put a slotted screw driver into the clips at the back corners on the top and release them, once again take note to their positioning. The outer case hooks under the front of the frame and the sides have a slot that goes over a pin near the back of the frame side. (Front under, sides on top of frame)Tilt the case up on back and pull forward. Congrats you are there. Make needed repair and reassemble reversing procedure. Good luck.
