I cannot set up my email on my at&t phone

Your apple ID is an email-Adress you used to create your account with apple. How to find it on your iphone:
If you are using iOS 6 or later, tap Settings > iTunes & App Stores
If you are using iOS 3 through iOS 5, tap Settings > Store

1. Sign out of iCloud, the iTunes Store, App Store, FaceTime, Find My Friends, Find My iPhone, and iMessage on each device that uses your current Apple ID for these services.

1. Go to My Apple ID (appleid.apple.com).

1. Select "Manage your Apple ID" and sign in. Forgot your password?

1. Select Edit next to "Apple ID and Primary Email Address."

1. Enter the email address to use as your Apple ID, then select Save Changes. Apple will send a verification email to that address.

1. Open the email from Apple, then click Verify Now in the email. Didn't receive the email?

1. When the My Apple ID page opens, sign in with your renamed Apple ID.

1. When you see a message that verification is complete, you can begin using your renamed Apple ID. You should also update the features and services that you use with Apple ID.

I think this happened to me too. I freaked out, understandably, but I just turned my phone on and off a few times, took out the battery and sim, and after a very, very long, agonising wait, somehow everything came back. Not sure if you have the same problem, but yeah. My phone's always glitching, this being one of many issues.

if you have email program setup in your pc, please check the settings if the email is stored on the server. if that is the case, even if you delete all emails from your phone, it will keep coming back again because of synchronization (it will send copies email stored from server)> change the settings the way you want it using your pc

Gmail Settings For Samsung Star Cellphones:
Go To > Menu > Messages
Click Settings > Email
Then Touch >Email Setup Wizard
Notice will ocuur Touch > Ok
Give name to your account E.g Gmail
Enter your email id : [email protected] , Then Enter Password for your account.
Incoming Server type : POP3, Incoming Server : pop.gmail.com
Outgoing Server SMTP : smtp.gmail.com, Secured Connection :Off
Then touch OK & it will display your POP3email account configured successfully. Now press back button and tap on Email Accounts, then touch the email account you have just created. There some more options you just have to edit such as:
Secured Connection:Off, POP3 Port:995, SMTP Port: 587
Now,Tick The option APOP Login., Download Limit: 500
Secured connection: SSL (Choose SSL for second option only & not for first option.)
Retrieving Option: Choose Subject only
Keep On Server: Tick
My Address: [email protected]
Username /Password : same as you entered above
POP before SMTP : Dont Tick
SMTP Auth: Tick
Same as POP3/IMAP4 : Tick
And Finally Save All Settings and your gmail account is set up.

OTE : VERY FIRST ENABLE POP3 FROM YOUR GMAIL ACCOUNT SETTINGS. LOG IN TO YOUR GMAIL ACCOUNT > ON TOP RIGHT CLICK ON SETTINGS >THEN CLICK FORWARDING & POP3 > THEN ENABLE POP3 FOR ALL MAIL OR YOU CAN SELECT OTHER OPTION. BUT AT LEAST POP3 MUST BE ENABLED. THEN SAVE CHANGES. POP3 Gmail Settings For Samsung Star Cellphones:

If you want your Samsung star phone to automatically download your messages ? Here is a small option they have given for that.
Go To Message > Settings > Email > Receiving Options
Download Limit: 300KB
Auto polling: Home Network Only
Following option is time after when email is downloaded automatically.
Polling Frequency: 30 Minutes (you can choose higher if you want)
Send read report: Tick
And again your emails will be automatically recovered from server at every 30 minutes. And you'll get notified near your message notifier on your home screen if there is any unread emails.

Hi, I had the same problem. Whenever, I touched my screen the wrong things would respond, then finally one day my phone locked & when I tried to unlock it the screen wouldn't respond at all.Took my phone to 3 sprint stores and all the techs couldn't help. One even accused water damage or overheating because they saw spots under my screen. But I never wet my phone so I thought it might be overheating since I do live in a warm climate. They all tried to get me to buy a new phone, which seemed like a scam. I didn't want to hard reset & lose all my data so I looked closer at the screen & noticed the spots didn't look like water spots & peeled the screen back. I noticed that the glue from around the screen actually leaked onto the screen, so I dampened one end of a q-tip & wiped the glue off the dryed it with the other end. I turn the phone back on and the screen worked fine. Try cleaning thr screen before doing a hard reset or paying for a replacement phone. It'll save you time & headache.
