Cant access any of the folders but inbox

A cookie is a string of information that is sent to your computer from each website that you visit. Cookies are harmless. Why would you want to delete them then?

The reason you would want to delete cookies from your computer is that they can store information such as user name, IP address, password, email address, shopping cart items and any strings of information that can be related to your identity.

Cookies that are on your computer may slow your computer down.
Therefore you may want to delete cookies from your browser.

Here is a very simple guide on how to delete cookies manually from your computer. Click on "tools" in your browser.
This is usually located in the upper right corner of your browser.

Click on Internet options.
This will appear in the drop down box and is usually at the bottom.

Under the "General" tab look for "Browsing History."

Under this heading you can click "Delete" to have the computer delete all cookies for you automatically however to delete the cookies manually click on the "Settings" tab

Click on the "View Files" tab under the "Temporary Internet Files and History Settings" box that pops up.

When you do a second box will pop up with a list of cookie containing files.
This may take a few seconds to load so be patient while waiting for the cookie files to load.

Highlight any cookie file that you would like to delete.
You can highlight more than one at a time by holding down the 'Ctrl" button on your keypad

Delete the files that are highlighted by clicking on the "delete this item" located to the left in the same box. As soon as you do you will see the selected files disappear.

When you are done just "X" off; this completes your task of manually deleting cookies.

You might also do a disk clean up click start click on computer to open right click on your hard drive usually C: select properties in the general tab select disk clean up click ok you can view files to be deleted.
If you habitually read some email and then forget about it, you should have a steadily growing collection of unread messages in your mailbox.

When a time comes that you want to sort the mail, you may find the unopened missives piled together with what you have already read.

Instead of wading through hundreds, perhaps thousands of messages to get what you need, tell Yahoo! to show you only what you want to see.

Log in to Yahoo! Mail.
Click "Inbox" either on the folder pane on the left or in the middle of the page.

Click "Unread Messages" above the list of messages.
Click "Next" or "Previous" to browse the messages, if there is more unread mail than can be displayed on a single page in the inbox.

Look on the folder pane on the left.
If you see any folder name in bold with a number in parentheses next to its name, it contains unread mail.

Click that folder to open it.

Yahoo! Mail Beta

Log in to Yahoo! Mail Beta.

Click "Inbox" on the left pane under "Compose message."

Click the purple color to the left of the "From" tab above the messages list.
This displays only unread mail.

Fix Yahoo Email When It Won't Open Attachments
Yahoo Mail is a popular webmail service that allows people to create their own email username and have it hosted by the Yahoo network.

In addition to providing fast and reliable email, Yahoo Mail also allows you to send and receive large attachments.

If you use Yahoo Mail, and are having issues opening attachments, there are several easy troubleshooting steps you can try to get your Yahoo Mail attachments. Sign out of Yahoo and clear your cache.
Since Yahoo! needs to access your cache to keep you logged in and to communicate with your computer when downloading attachments, a full cache can prevent Yahoo Mail from opening attachments correctly.

Go to your browser's "Tools" or "Internet Options" menu and then select the "Delete Temporary Internet files" command to delete your cache.

Reload the page.
lf you have had Yahoo Mail open for a long time, the page may have gone idle, and you may not be able to access your attachment.

Press the "Reload" (F5) button and then log back in to your account.
Ensure that the attachment is not corrupt.

If the sender did not finish uploading before they hit "Send" or there was an error during the upload, the file may be corrupted.

Ask the sender to re-attach the file and send it again.

Check the file format.

Some formats are proprietary and will not open unless specific programs are installed on your computer.

For instance, if you are sent an AAC file, you will not be able to open it unless iTunes is installed on your computer.

On clicking on the email in the Inbox, my browser opens a totally different website. Why am i getting this problem?

Hi,

There are lot of factors that may cause this, one is virus infection, two; if browsing history or cache and cookie for browser is clog up. Are you using Internet explorer? I suggest you click on tools then delete browsing history under General tab, delete cache and cookies as well. If you are using Mozilla firefox as your browser, click tools and click on clear private data. try reopening your email again afterwards. Hope this helps

Can't reply, forward, or write new emails

A lot of us believe Yahoo implemented some changes that affected the ability to read our mail. I've had this issue since May 29. Since then, I've developed a Work-Around to read my mail or mail in other File Folders. I've seen other comments that use this method as well. Sounds like we all came upon this Work-Around simultaneously.

Since I've been offering solutions to read one's mail, my personal Profile indicates that over 80 others have this inability to read their mail. So we are not alone.

General consensus is that Yahoo has not developed a fix yet and Yahoo is offering up other solutions which, so far , have failed. Not seen anyone admit their solutions actually work.

I've read where one customer disabled his Norton anti-virus and his mail worked normally. When he re-enabled the Norton anti-virus, the mail screwed up again. His indications were that Norton was working on the issue. Sounds like Yahoo instituted some upgrades and now Norton may have to change something in their package to make the two systems compatable. Don't know for sure at this point.

Try This:

1) Double click on your mail Inbox or other File Folder
2) Right click and a Pop-up window will show up
3) Choose OPEN
4) Read your mail, select an email for viewing
5) In order to DELETE, MOVE the email to another File Folder, REPLY, FORWARD - Go ahead do what you normally do. You'll notice that your email didn't disappear.
6) Go to your Inbox or another File Folder as if you wish to read another email. If you were DELETING your email from your Inbox, select your Inbox again, DBL clicking and Right Clicking. When the File RE-opens, you'll notice the email you DELETED is now gone.

Pain in the rear, but it at least allows you to read and dispose of the mail.

Yahoo doesn't seem to have an ETA on when the Fix will be in place. They have had suggestions , but no -one has admitted any of them have worked.
