I have a lock icon on my screen and the player does not work. LDP-600 (Lexar). The lock icon appears whenever U try to turn the player on. The computer does not recognize the player. I tried two computers

ok ..this means that it works and it is seen by the computer ...the issue is to unlock it ...concentrate on the reason that appears locked on the screen ..if you know that you didnt locked it ..the only remaining issue is a malfunction ...or somebody locked it with a password ...I will study the model and let you know if there is anything to do ..
anyway ...all devices that holds passwords ..or any setting or commands...can be restored to factory function by removing all kinda power ...
so ..if you will not be able to do anything ...open it ...and try to remove anything that look like a battery ...leave it like this for a while ...and put them back ...charge and lets see ..
to see the power supply ( in case that has a secondary ...like a Bios battery in computers..) try to search with a electronic voltmeter to detect any small voltage )
in short ..if it not on hold...and its locked by a command that you do not know ....we have to make it forget the setting by removing power supply ..
be carefully not to damage ...better ask for someone that done stuff like this before..

I read all about it ...and it doesnt have any such thing like password...so ...if it is an error remove the battery ...and it will have to get to the factory defaults ...after that will ask you to format cause it will say something like incorrect format or so ...format it Fat and should work ...but first have to remove power to make it like it doesn't have memories on ...
