This problem isn't a capacitor issue .Its a Y-sus issue or a panel issue
you need advanced help to solve this .

picture you describe is 4X3 format and unless remote has a format and the program is in another aspect mode you will not be able to change it.

Look for the aspect button which can also be on a box if used.

assuming you gave checked the menu settings for the video out, I would say your plasma panel board may need to be replaced

Does it show a Menu at least? If it does then just switch through the INPUT until you see a picture. Cables most likely to be Video 1, 2 or 3. Video games "LINE", or HDMI..of course "HDMI".

Your remote should have an "INPUT" button.

Commonly for Plasma tv's if the screen went out,,the problem will be the CATHODE RAY TUBE,it is costly to buy.if you want you can buy it,,or it may be the D-board problem will be also,,,
but it is unusual,so check the tube.

Plasma TV does not use inverter back light board, you may have power supply or x/y driving board problems.
