5 Jan 08 I spent more time trying to fix this issue...I pulled the stove out already...pulled the plug..waited a few...and when I plugged it back in...same thing. Finally, called the establishment where I bought my Maytag. I explained the problem...he said...hold the timer/clock button down for a couple of seconds...PRESTO!!! The keypad cleared and returned to normal.

I was trying to set the temperature and timer for our dinner to bake...must've hit them too fast or ??....Now I can't get the oven to work. I have tried holding buttons but I just have this straight vertical line on the left. Whenever I touch any other button, it will give me a temp of whatever number on the keypad I have touched. For example, If I hit the number 9, it'll punch in 999 Degrees....hit 5, it'll be 555degrees but the oven doesn't come on, etc.. How do I clear it?

Holding buttons down, doesn't change anything.

Turn off the circuit breaker for a minute or two -- or unplug the range.

Repair man fixed top oven probe sensor due to a F1-1 error code. Top oven is still giving the same error code. Repairman wants to come back and charge 200.00 bucks again to replace bottom oven sensor.

The electronic control could have a bad touch pad that is causing this. You may need to replace the electronic control itelf. It is expensive almost 400.00 dollars.

My Maytag Gemini double oven gas...........the bottom oven won't heat up past 100 degrees. What can I do to troubleshoot?

Hi

This issue seems to be with the gas inlet valve or the igniter itself that is bad. Gas Valve has a bi-metal that open when a certain amount of current flows through it to heat it up. Make sure that the glow bar is not cracked. Faulty igniters can allow correct current to flow to the oven gas valve for it to open but not get quite hot enough to ignite the gas burner immediately. Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

Maytag Gemini double oven flashes F1 and stops heating.

I am attaching a Gemini manual. The checking procedures are the same for your oven.
Two component suspects for your problem would be the door latch mechanisms and the oven temperature sensors.
