Kenmore HE3t Frontloading clothes washer has interesting problem. Just replaced the board and now the washer slowly fills up with water after completing its cycle.
Nothing wrong with the pump, because it pumps out at the end of the load. The washing area just fills up, very slowly, after a load ends.
Any suggestions?
The nature of problem would depend on how you get water to stop coming in. If only way is too cut water off at wall, then inlet valve is bad. If it stops by cutting machine off, then it's a control problem
Does this change if you select a cold wash or a hot wash? What's the water temperature feel like when it fills? I'd suspect the water control solenoid for either the hot or cold water isn't shutting off completely. This could possibly be due to a piece of debris or mineral deposit in its seat, and could be cleaned with CLR or citric acid if you remove it. They're not very expensive and not a very hard item to change on most machines.

Is your problem a SLOW FILL problem, or a problem with WATER DRIPPING FROM THE RUBBER DOOR SEAL - or BOTH? If you have a slow fill problem, this is generally caused by a bad fill valve, which can be attributed to hard water deposits or well water mineral deposits. Sometimes the fill valve can be removed, cleaned and reinstalled, but most of the time a new fill valve is required. If you are experiencing water leaking from the rubber door seal (bellow), it may be time to replace it. Sometimes the seal can develop a wrinkle or crease where it meets the glass, which can cause leaks. Water dripping from the door when you open after washing a load is normal. Water dripping during a load is NOT. The bellow may also have started to rip or tear inside the door which may not be noticeable until you pull the folds of the bellow back and look underneath it. I hope this helps.

If you tip the machine back at an angle, you should see a clear plastic sausage shaped thing with a plastic tube coming from it, you will need to remove the plastic thig (pressure vessl) and clean it out.

If pump works fine or still pumps out water, then it is a timer malfunction. Replace the timer and you should be fine. To locate a part number for your timer, refer to www3.sears.com with the model number off your washer.

Yes, the only other thing I would do and you may have done this is to put the hose directly over in the washer tub and turn the water on to check the flow. If that's good then replace the water valve.
