If you installed Windows Vista from the DELL-provided "System Restore" CDs, you will have the correct drivers for your hardware.

So, if you don't have those CDs, telephone DELL, and get them to courier-ship a set of those "System Restore" CDs to you.

When you get the CDs, backup your data files to an external disk-drive, or to a USB memory stick, and then use the CDs to reinstall Windows Vista.

However, since you chose to "downgrade" to Windows XP, and your computer was "designed for Vista", you will *NOT* find any drivers for Windows XP on the manufacturer's web-site:

http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&cs=2684&l=en&s=pub&os=WW1&osl=en&catid=&impid=&SystemID=STUDIO1537

My recommendation: reinstall Windows Vista, and you will get all the drivers automatically installed.

FUJITSU MHT2060B-SATA hard drive driver wanted

Get the drivers from the motherboard homepage, extract the file at a floppy or USB, and start WinXP installation from your cd. At the begining at the bottom line is a message like "for ... drivers press F6 to install" Press F6 and after sometime the will prompt you to provide the drivers from the floppy. In the WinXP sp3 the generic SATA drivers are already on the installation cd.
