The cord that connects the 2 together is broken where can i get a new one?

There is a good chance it can be fixed, you would need to search for the replacement part you need and simply replace the needed part, I have a Nexus 7 1st gen and I am in need of a new charging port myself but was able to make it work by opening it up and pinch the piece back together til I get a new part. Often times the connection will be just loose and you can do that but other times the pins are warn down.

1. the usb connector in the PC may have a broken board contact needs soldering or replacement.
2. there may be a broken USB cord to the external usb drive
3. the electronic controller in the USB case may not be working.
4. A new case may be needed with a new controller.

Buy a new plug at Radio shack (for instance) and solder it on to your headphone, just cut the old/broken plug off at the base as to save the most lengt of your wire. Make sure to 'burn' the ends of the wires you are about to attach(1 or 2 second flame from a lighter) they are coated, but its hard to see, burning them removes this coat making the wires able to transmit the electrical current(music, in this case :P)....IF YOU DON'T WANT TO/KNOW HOPW to solder, then I would buy the cheapest headphones you can buy(Dollar store), cut the cord off somehwere halfway and reattach that to the cord on your headphones. MAKE SURE TO "BURN" the coating off the wires for this procedure to, or they will be together, but they wont make any contact!...I've done this many times and it has always worked great fror me!...Good luck.

I have not seen the new two speed but sounds like the wiring is coded to teh switch by colorOn a single speed it would be this way.

Power cord to side 1 of switch.
Switch to motor 1 and PN receptacle 1, etc
Then cord to remaining motor 2 and PN 2 so by color should be accurate.
Note PN receptacle should likely be powered at both speeds....it is on other vacs

The cord is broken??? How is it broken. Can you wind the wires back together and solder them together? Or is it totally missing pieces? If it isn't, you can save money and just wind up the wires, get a lighter and burn them together. It will flare a little, blow it out and tape it up with some electrical tape. it's very easy. This will work. If it is completely damaged, then I am afraid you would have to order one directly from the manufacturer because they are encoded to connect a specific signal so that other things don't connect randomly through it. Give them a call. I'm not sure how much they would charge. Try to fix it if you can, soooo much cheaper. Cheers.

If it still works then hope for the best, if not then buy a new plug at Radioshack and solder that on. Mkae sure to burn the tips of the wires for a second or 2 with a lighter, this will remove the protective coating on the wires. If not then the connection won't be made and your headphones wont work. If you don't want to/ know how to solder, then buy a cheap headphone at Family Dollar etc , cut the cord halfway in the middle, burn your wires(the tips only!) on your old headphones and the new wire and attach each wire together taping each connection just enough for them not to touch other wires( a short in headphones and the like will not do anything more then make a speaker or 2 not work, there is no hazard of fire or frying your equipment....Good luck!

Gaming mice are not cheap,sell for $30 - 130. The cord on my RAZER DIAMONDBACK mouse went bad, I opened the mouse & repaired the broken wires.You have to unplug cord from inside mouse,the connection plug has very small barbs,so you have to pry the socket open a bit to unplug it.Once the cord is out cut the rubber part on the cord that connects to mouse that reinforces the cord.Cut it off on both side,pull out the remaining bits of wire.You have to enlarge the hole in the rubber grommet to reinsert the cord threw it,a heated wire the size of the cord works well to enlarge the hole.Run cord thew grommet splice wires,solder wires if you have a soldering iron makes the best repair,splice wires offset from each other,so they are not all sliced at same location.Use a good tape to isulate the spliced area on each wire,about 1/2 of tape per splice,Scotch Super 33+ Premium Vinyl Electrical Tape. Once you have taped each wire, tape all the wires together, for better isulation.Reinslall wire harness & test mouse.

I have never been a big fan of these type switchs for this very reason. This type of "in line" switch usually has two halves, that fit over the cord. It could be that the screw that holds the two halves together could be loose. If this connection is tight, then, depending on what type of switch this is (there are several types), it might or might not could be repaired. THEREFORE, I would suggest a trip to the hardware store or department store, and buy a new switch (Wal Mart carries 2 types of these type switches). The instructions will be included with the switch, and it is easy enough for most homeowners to easily repair, most of the time with only a screwdriver. And as long as you have the lamp unplugged when you repair it (PLEASE!), there is no harm of being electrocuted.

In a three wire system you have 2 hot wires (black and red) and a neutral (white). the ground is connected to the neutral at the dryer. In a 4 wire system you have the 2 hot wires, neutral, and a ground. (green). The ground is connected with the neutral at the circuit panel. The hot wires at the dryer should be on the outside scres, the neutral should be in the center and the ground should be under the green screw. *****. .

You may have a broken solder connection - some sort of broken or intermittent connection. Common problems are broken solder connections at the power jack (inside the laptop). If this is the case, the laptop will need to be disassembled for repairs to be made. Note: There are online sites with DC power jacks available, crossed by Model number.

Wiring can also break (external to the laptop) especially if the wire/cord is flexed frequently (like when wrapped up to put into the laptop bag). Sometimes there is no external evidence of a break.

Also, if indeed your laptop has a pig-tale as you describe, the jack where you connect might be worn out- just not making contact with the plug.

Find someone with a little tech savvy, if necessary, and locate the exact nature of the bad connection, and make repairs from there.
