Are you suing the recommended battery KODAK Li-Ion Rechargeable Digital Camera Battery KLIC-7001? If no please purchase KLIC7001

Now in case you are using this KLIC7001, How do you charged the camera or battery? USB cable or AC adaptor? If your using USB cable actually some of the M893 will not charged using USB cable you need to update the firmware or download the firmware before you can successfully charge it using the USB cable

Now if the AC adaptor make sure when you plug the adaptor theres a light indicator on the camera and charged the battery for 4hrs., and still the camera will shuts off everytime you take a picture please call kodak toll free 1 800 235 6325 have your camera repair. Gudluck!

My Kodak will not turn on...it's been charging for a while now and when i turn it on all it does is turn on for about a second and then turn off..what could i do to fix it?

1/ Make sure your battery is still good (holds charge). If it does hold charge, 2/ then turn the camera on by pressing the play button. If it turns on, your camera's lens is faulty

Try to clean the battery metal contacts try to turn on the camera
If it did not work do the following:
Try to insert battery the other way around.
Try to charge the camera 4-8hrs
If it didn't work follow the guide on www.kodak.com/go/stepbystep
If the guide did not resolve the issue proceed with warranty repair process on the website. You can process the warranty repair by yourself.
After accomplishing the warranty repair process you will receive email from Kodak giving you instructions how to send your camera for service.

this is a Health and Safety issue which kodak advice the users to call the tech to help them with this
the tech number is 1800 235 6325 op12 op2

The cameras do that only when there isn't sufficient power to run the camera, your battery needs to be replaced, or if your charging it, the charger or the battery may have gone bad.
