Charing my battery for a FireStorm 9.6V

Just bought a new battery for my FireStorm 9.6V drill, which has been discontinued. I replaced the old battery because it failed to charge. I'm now wondering if it might be a charger problem rather than a battery problem. How do I tell if my charger is working correctly, ie, charging the new battery? There is an indicator light on the charger, but it is not lit. Does this mean the battery is not charging?

Yes, it means the charger is not working. The light is the charge indicator and is red while charging.

My Black and Decker Drill and Hand Saw have brand new battery pack and brand new charger to BE SURE battery is fully charged but still don't work

it is probably the brushes on the motors are wore out or stuck and not making contact. pretty much junk unless you feel confident enough to attempt repair.

This close to father's day you should be able to buy a new drill for about the same as a battery. The 12v would overheat the motor if you ran it for an extended period.

MY 1HR CHARGER FOR MY BLACK AND DECKER 18 VOLT FIRESTORM DRILL IS NOT WORKING ANYMORE. CAN I GET A REPLACEMENT?

you can go to Blackanddecker.com and buy a replacement, or go to any major store that sells B&D or DeWalt and but the replacement charger. I would recommend taking the old one with you to ensure the proper one is bought.

George, firestorm bats. I believe are for the drills ? There is usually a 2 year warranty on B&D products, either take it back to the store where you purchased or contact Black & Decker : blackanddecker.com
