Water drips down from Freezer. The water is coming

Water drips down from Freezer into the fridge. The water is coming from the back a little left of ceter. I have diconnected the water line for the ice maker so its not associated with the ice maker. The freezer is not thawing and the temp in the fridge seems fine. Often when the water drips it freezes in the fridge but no other food or drink seems to freeze. Often I can empty 10oz from a bowl I have to collect it a day.

Since you said the water supply is shut off, the likely culprit is a clogged drain tube that connects the defrost tray to the water collection pan for evaporation at the bottom of the fridge.

The source of the clog is usually either mold growth or more likely, ice build up. Regardless of which, if you access the defrost heater in the freezer section, you can thaw ice that has collected in the tray and if needed, use a turkey baster to direct a hot stream of water at the point the hose attaches to the tray and treat the hose for mold, below.

Once cleared of ice, mix a small amount (5 or 6 oz) of water and 1/2 to 1 ounce of bleach and direct down the tube to kill any mold / growth. Be careful not to use to much or overflow, as clean up will be difficult due to the bleach mixture.

The next thing to do (if icing up) is to determine why. A careful check of the defrost circuit should be done. Otherwise, you'll be doing this over - and it may start to affect the temperatures in the frozen and fresh food sections of the fridge.

I hope this helps!

I have a frigidaire pro FPHS2386L and the freezer is too cold. Any ideas?

George makes a good point but I'd like to add that there is generally a fan that blows the air between the freezer into the fridge area. If there is no obstruction, the fan most likely needs to be replaced. On a few models this can be done with a little patience and a screw driver and the fan part. Check with a Sears Parts distribution store avaiable around the country for the part if the model is carried by Sears. If not, Google the fridge make and model number with Freezer Fan Replacement.

Bleeding the radiator

take the top off the header tank ( part you fill the water in) top to the top run engine until it boils or fan kicks in to cool down the engine. while it is heating up squeeze the pipes around the engine to help release the air better DONT put your hands near any moving parts. keep the water full to the top while doing this. when at temp turn off engine and leave to cool down dont add any water or do anything till it has cooled down. when cooled down top up to the mark and should be good then if not then the thermostat may be faulty. or you have a blockage some were in the system that is causing the over boiling problem also check that the fan is working and the temp switch for the fan is working all these can make the engine over heat, also when bleeding the system have the heater on number one and heat on full.

Where do I connect the copper tubing line to on my refrigerator to pipe the water from the wall to the freezer so I can make ice and get cold water.

On the bottom of the back of the unit there should be a valve with a threaded fitting on it. you connect the water to this valve. make sure you put a filter in the line also.

Condensation forms on the top inner ceiling of the refrigerator

Very common problem I have repaired many times , The drain is frozen or plugged.
remove the back panel in the freezer section to get to the evap./cooling coil , then check the pan under it , there is a small 1" drain hole at the bottom that may have ice in it or its clogged with something else.
Use hair dryer or similar to remove ice then get a wire or something similar that is firm to use to snake out and clear that drain hole you want to get about 10 inches down into it.
Pour bleach into evap pan and let it sit for a bit. [10 minutes]
Then to know its cleared well pour a cup of water into the evap pan then check the pan under the unit at bottom behind kickplate to ensure the bleach and water has made it to this pan.
If unit is now draining here , wipe remaining water off top of ref. compartment and by the next day it will usually stop.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

Vaillant boiler - heating OK, but no hot water.

Most likey problem is the diverter valve, not energising fully. This in turn will not move the little plastic lever arm that actuates the microswitch on the side, sending the signal to ignite.

You can buy a diaghram kit from most local plumb centres, you need to replace the diaghram and seals, don't forget the silicon grease to ensure the plunger doesnt stick. Kits less than a tenner.

You should have noticed before it stopped working completely the water had reduced in temperature before the weeks it failed.

To make sure it is a diverter valve fault, depress the microswitch if you can, when the hot water is flowing and hey presto the demand for hot water light should shine.

Under Counter Water Filter Leaking after Use Sometimes!

Got it! Your return line is clogged!

I have the same dispenser, and there are 3 tubes attached to it. One of them (black on mine) goes from the faucet to the drain pipe coming down from the sink. That line can get clogged over time with stuff coming out of your sink. You can probably disconnect that line at the drain pipe end and **** oput the connection and as much of the hose as you can get too., Reattach the line and you are done. Fire it up.

On my unit, we hear a dripping sound in the drain when the unit is charging. If you don't hear the dripping sound after using the unit, that line is probably clogged up!

See ya!

Water Filter Leaks

Since you weren't very specific where it leaks or when it started (like after a filter change) it could be tough to troubleshoot this leak.

If it is leaking at the faucet connection try tightening up where it screws onto the faucet. Depending on your strength (or lack of) you may need to use pliers to get a tight connection. Don't go crazy tight or it will crack the plastic fitting. If it still leaks remove the unit from the faucet and check the rubber washer inside where it screws onto the faucet. Make sure it's still there and is centered inside the cup and seated properly. Then reattach the unit to the faucet and tighten it well.

If it's leaking from the main body try removing the filter and reinstalling it making sure you have seated the filter properly and screwed on the cover correctly, and all the way. When it is tight the water outlet will be exactly at the bottom of the unit. Sometimes it's tricky getting it tight enough especially with wet hands.

Finally, if the leak is coming from the filter on/off selector this could be tough to fix. I would try firmly pushing and pulling the selector knob in and out several times while in both the on and off positions. This may re-seat the leaking seal. I wouldn't be too hopeful about this fix though. You may need to replace the unit if this part is leaking.
