Why when i plug the MP3 player (YP-T10) into the computer, the computer says 'One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognise it'?

Here are a few things you can try:
1) Plug it in to other USB ports of your PC/laptop. The port might be faulty. 2) Replace the USB cable 3) Download the latest driver from Samsung's website here:

My samsung YP-T10 4GB won't show up on my laptop

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} This MP3 player is a flash player so your PC should recognise it automatically. If this is not happening, i would advise downloading an MTP Porting Kit from www.microsoft.com.

Please also access My Computer, Right Click, select Properties, Hardware and then Device Manager. Find the MP3 in the list, right click, Properties and select Update Driver.

If this does not work, try the troubleshooting wizard and try to get an error code. If you get an error code, searching the knowledge base on the Microsoft website will advise what this means.
