The connector may have come loose from the player board, you could try opening it and replacing/resoldering the port, but it would be best if you just sent it back for repair.

The sound is coming out perfectly in the right earphone but it is barely coming out in the left earphone

Then you need to adjust the earphones plug in, adjust it gently and it will sound right on both earphone. It is the plug that is causing the problem. Adjusting it will solve the problem for you.

My Philips GoGear Raga 2GB is not working properly. Its earfone jack socket is causing some problems, it doesnt give proper sound now!

The fault could be the earphone, check the earphone in a different device/player, if the fault still appears the the earphone is faulty, probably a broken wire in the cord.
If the earphone is OK then the earphone socket in the MP3 player is faulty. If may be too expensive to repair, unless you can DIY.

Sound to one earphone only unless pressure applied.

try taking a cue tip or something smaller and cleaning out the inside of the earphone port, sometimes dust can cause interference with the headphones

assuming it is a wire earphone which comes bundled with the set then
as soon as u plugged in the set should detect and show 'earphone plugged in', if not the problem is with the earphone itself.
If it is ok and can,t hear, check for the user profile selected as 'Headset'.
Now turn on the radio.

To check whether FM is working or not [diagnostic verify]Warning: DO NOT CHANGE ANY SETTINGS
enter *#66*# to enter Factory mode. Go to the end of the menu & select FM Radio --> select any channel to listen hiss sound. If so the set is ok. EXIT now. Mind that the earphone wire only works as fm antenna for the device that's why radio is disabled by default till it finds the earphone is plugged in.

Keep some space blank in the phone memory as it may be the problem.
if the problem is something else then describe what is happening stepwise.

most small devices rely on the wire plugged into the earphones jack to be the antenna to receive the radio signals, so if you are trying to listen to the radio through the builtin speaker without having earphones plugged in, you might just not be getting a signal, and since it is a digital tuner, it probably can tell that you are not getting a signal and so just outputs no sound, not even static.

so try plugging in some headphones if you haven't been doing that.
