press the 1st and 4th button on the shortcut menu on the front and press the reset button. This will go through a complete hard reset and deactivate the battery. IT will take your PDA back to factory default mode. It saves you a lot of trouble. GOOD luck. If my explaining it to you didnt help then google "complete reset pda ipaq 1710". :)
no it cant. it's a PDA , it is not a phone. it can do wifi, if lucky most cant. wifi is an option sold new.... so can be missing. even with it most modern routers block it.
why not just buy and old smart phone. use that. avoid PDA like the plague.
I have the same problem, after I did the hard reset and installed no programs, this power problem disappeared. But once i installed any programs, PDA battery life became no longer than 2 days, which is strange.
