My xbox wont put out a picture or make sound when turned on. I have checked the connection and it turns on just fine and appears to be working.

Yes the no display error happens because the display chip is overheating at the back, you need to get it repaired, you can either send it in or fix it yourself using a good repair guide

Xbox 360 problem

If you can still HEAR sound, but can't see. Check your Audio Video Cable.

It's the colorful one (red, white, yellow) (red, blue green, white, red)

Make sure the connections are secure into the back of the TV as well as the connection to the back of the Xbox 360.

No sound and picture

Overheating is the main cause...

Have a look here;

That should work.

Picture

yes it could ba the cable itself even, but i suspect more the tuner circuit or tuner itself may have bad solder connections. Here is another test for you to try, plug another dvd or vcr, or xbox etc. into the back, using one odf the inputs. See if this works like the built in dvd. if so it will be more likely bad connections in the tuner or surrounding circuit. good luck.

Xbox wont turn on!!

u might just have a overheating prossesor.try cleaning the vents with an airosol spray and either adding a prossesor fan to the vent or setting the xbox infront of a large fan to help cool it .
