Please be more detailed? What brand? one or two motors?
If power is working with no suction. could be a clog or bad filter if -
and if it is a bagless unit - there is usually more than one filter - if filter is clogged you will use alot of suction!
9 times out of 10 it is usually a filter or clogged.

Dyson Ball Cleaner Head suction stops when head is attached; Multi Floor 2; UP19

If the suction on your Dyson Ball Cleaner Head stops when the head is attached, it could be due to a problem with the head itself or with the vacuum's hose and wand. Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the problem:
  1. Check the hose and wand for any blockages or kinks. Remove any blockages or straighten out any kinks to restore suction.
  2. Check the hose and wand for any visible damage, such as holes or cracks. If the hose or wand is damaged, it will need to be replaced.
  3. Check the connection points between the hose, wand, and cleaner head to make sure they are secure and not loose.
  4. Check the filters to make sure they are clean and not clogged. If the filters are dirty or clogged, they can reduce suction.
  5. If the problem persists after trying these troubleshooting steps, you may need to take the vacuum to a repair center for further diagnosis and repair.
I hope this information is helpful! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Electrolux Epic: POWER NOZZLEM NOT WOKING

Connect power head directly to power without wands and see if’s working
If it’s working you have problems in wands or true hose
If power head is not working directly connected to power you have problem with reset switch or power head motor
Try to push reset switch several times
You have to test hose and wands for continuity and eliminate things by things

Filter queen vacuum head has no power

More information needed. When you turn on the vacuum do you hear the motor running? Is the problem that there is no suction at the head? Is there suction at the canister when the hose is removed? I would first check to make sure that there is no obstruction in the hose. Have you checked the filters to see if they are clean?

Why is my henry vacuum cleaner not working motor running but no suction ?

Hi I will try to guide you though this problem.
When you switch it on do you get air blown out of the vent on the machine housing.if not there may be a blockage.
if you take the hose off, do you have suction on the main body.
if so pipe is blocked.
if no suction then, do you have a bag in it. If so remove the bag and reassemble and try again.
there should also be a sealing ring with a fabric on it between the motor head and the body, is this very dirty or missing.
if none of the above works then I would assume that the fan is adrift on the motor.
i would advise a qualified person investigates further as risk of electric shock if you dismantle the advice.
please let me know how you get on.

The beater bar in my vacuum does not go around and there is no suction in the power head?

Turn up side down- check if belt is intact- I would remove belt ant look for an obstruction. Not familiar with this vac but some motors have replaceable bruches on the motor. Try running and feeling for suction. The motor should sound strong when running. Remove beater brush and check for freedom of movement.

My miele titan is not turning on when plugged in. i think it might be some sort of clog? but the electric head is working... help!

Wow!, that's not typical of a Miele, especially a new model like the Titan which has been on the market for less than 2 years. If I read this correctly, your power nozzle (electric head) is working, but the main suction motor is not. Thta's usually a sign that the carbon brushes in your suction motor are stuck or too short. Again, not a common problem with Miele. A clog could cause your machine to run hot from reduced airflow and then shut down until it cools, but it would shut the whole machine down, not just the suction motor.
Is your power dial, (located just forward of the main switch and cord retractor buttons) set to minimum? If so, you just might not be getting enough suction. If, after turning the dial to maximum, you still get no suction, then you should definitely take it back to the dealer you bought it from. You have a 7 year motor warranty and a 1 year warranty on all non-wearing components. If you bought your vacuum on the internet then you can go to www.mieleusa.com and search for a local dealer. There is a 'Dealer Locator' link on the left side menu.

Power head turns on and works the power that turns vacum on not

If the suction motor doesn't come on but the brush motor does, you have a bad vac motor. If neither motor runs, it's probably a cord problem. Most parts for these are not available anymore.

Lack of Suction

There are actually several possibilities.

Check to make sure that the brushroll is spinning. The brushroll is responsible for virtually all of your pickup on carpet, and is the culprit for most complaints of "lack of suction."

If the brushroll is not spinning, listen at the head to see if the motor inside the power head is active. If you can hear it running but the brushroll is not turning, you have a broken belt. If the motor in the power head is not turning at all you may have an electrical short in the hose, the wands, or the main power outlet from the body of the canister; but before you get too involved check the power head for a thermal reset button. Some of the Electrolux powerheads are equipped with these, and some are not, so check your user's manual. If there isn't one, or if it isn't tripped, you'll need to look for electrical issues.

In this particular model it is fairly common for the electrical contacts on the wands to short out, so inspect the metal contacts to look for scorching, or melting of the plastic around them. If you have access to a VOM, check for voltage at the contacts on the end of the wand, and if it is not present, check all of the contacts sequentially back to the canister body to determine which part is not passing voltage. If you have voltage all the way through the wand, you either have a loose connection inside the power head, or the power head motor has burned out. If you have power from the canister body, but not through the end of the hose, either your hose has a short in it, or the circuit board in the handle assembly that controls the power head power has shorted out.

If your brushroll is turning, then you do, in fact, have a clog somewhere inside the power head, which a visual inspection behind the brushroll and into the elbow will confirm.

Best of luck,

-R
