I was messing around with the service menu, tweaking settings trying to get my JVC looking it's nest and somehow turned off the HDMI port. I was watching HD through HDMI and now it doesn't work. It doesn't even show up as an option when cycle through inputs. Help!
JVC AV-48P575 HDMI reset procedure:
1. Unplug HDMI cable from tv.
2. Unplug the tv.
3. Remove the rear (low) back cover.
4. Find the 6 pins on the board of the HDMI module and shortcut the pins no.1 and no.2 using a jumper(i use an old hard drive jumper). That's the higher to pins if you can't see the number.
5. Put back the rear cover.
6. Plug the tv.
7. Turn on the tv.
8. Unplug the tv(without tunrning it off).
9. Remove the back cover.
10. Remove the jumper on the pins 1 and 2.
11. Put back the rear cover.
12. Plug the tv and you're done.
Well the jumper on the board thing worked for me for about 6 hours then back to black.
The error I am getting is HDMI NG9 and AIO NG7
OK, great. I'll give it a try and post my results. Thanks for the advice!
The only thing I am not comfortable with is this:
"4. Find the 6 pins on the board of the HDMI module and shortcut the

jumper). That's the higher to pins if you can't see the number."
I've never done anything like this before, where could I get a hard drive jumper?
A hard drive jumper is little thing use to connect two pins together by sliding it over the two pins we want to connect together. Anything you can use to make a steady contact betwenn the two pins will do the job but a jumper is the easy way to do it because the pins are really small. Any computer shop will have these.

That's weird that it keeps coming back. When you turned the TV off from the menu with all the number codes (the NG screen) did you also unplug it for 30 secs? Mine are all OK, but I still can't select Digital as an input. Also, my Super Focus button on the front panel doesn't work anymore. I don't know what to tell you now man, sorry. This is as far as I've gotten.
Hmmmm ... Maybe you guys should read through your manual and you will find that your not supose to see the "Digital Input" on the input menu when plugged into the HDMI port.
This tv is awesome!!!!!!!!
Hey, it is another service menu screen. you access it the same way, except push the sleep timer button until you see 30 min, then push display and video status. self check is #2. if any of the categories has "NG" followed by a number, that means that the is an error. See what you can find out.
My service menu shows 9 items none of which is a self check screen. What does yours look like? How did you get to this screen? Thanks

having the same problem as you. i bought a hd directv receiver, plug in the hdmi port for the first time and nothing...been searching for 5 hours now with no luck.
That is weird. My HDMI did work, i just screwed it up. I haven't been that happy with this set but can't afford anything better right now. I really think that the component cables look better than HDMI did, there is less pink and blue around letters and small objects. Sorry I can't help you out any, maybe someone else can help us.
OK, I think I have fixed this somewhat. I reset the HDMI board by going into the service menu and going to the self check screen, turning the tv off, unplugging it for 30 sec. and plugging it back in and turning it on. Now when I go to the self check screen it tells me HDMI is OK, before it had several errors. I still cannot select "Digital" as an input, it only sees the 3 AV inputs on back and the one in front. Any thoughts?
Thank you for your response. I was able to get to the other menu now and my options are as follows:
TEST MODE
1. I2C STOP
2. STATUS DISP.
4 SELF-CHK
5 CONVER OFF
ROM CORRECTION : ACT
ROM VER. : MN102H75KPL 0000
So I chose number 4 for self check and got this:
XRAY ok
LOB ok
SYNC M: ok
MEM ok
VCD ok
AIO ng 9
TUN ok
PP ok
HDMI ng 9
OCP ng 9
TIM ok
S: ng hd: ok
AVSW ok
YC ng 1
IP ng 9
SPRT ok
Any help translating the would be much appreciated. It seems I have a bunch of ng (not good maybe what it stands for?) in 1 and 9. Thanks again for getting me this far.
I went to the self check screen and turned the tv off for a min and then turned it back on and checked the service screen under self check again and it showed me all options were ok. I went to the digital in input and still have nothing on the screen so I checked the self check menu again and it showed me ng 9 under hdmi again...It seems no matter what i do it shows good under all other screens but goes ng9 when the digital input comes up. I tried it plugged into a device, not plugged in, no cable plugged into the tv at all...always shows ng9. Am I missing something here? Thanks guys
