Dirty copies on Canon PC1060

I'm having problem with smudging copies on my Canon PC 1060 (the toner smudges do not wipe off the page). I have cleaned every possible area of the machine but I still get dark images even when copying a blank page...I think they are called ghost images. Any help?

Just replaced black cartridge in my 2600n color laser. I have smudged about a half inch wide 2/3rds over the right of each page. It only smudges in black. I have recalibrated several times. Printed at...

If this just started after you replaced the toner cartridge, one would have to say that it is a bad toner cartridge.
Print something that smudges. Pull down the front cover and look at the cartridges. Pay attention to the top one(black).
Look at the drum on that cartridge. You should see the toner sitting there. Compare it to the other cartridges which should be clean.

Smudging when copy comes out

There are several reasons, all of which will require a technician.
Do you mean the toner will wipe of page (unfused)? This is the Fusing pressure roller.
Do you mean smudge marks that don't wipe off? This is most likely either a drum (photoconductor) problem, or the Upper fuser roller - could possibly be dirty optics as well. But like I say, only a technician can help you here.

Print out is dirty, there are smudges of inks at the page center

What colour are the smudges, if they are one colour you can try changing that colour toner cartridges. Failing this then it sounds as if you may need a new drum

Dirty Edges

I'm sorry to tell you, this is likely a drum issue.

You probably need to have a certified engineer examine the machine.

Have you tried speaking with the local service center to see if they have experienced similar issues? It might be free information.

Toner being deposited on back of page

point check

1.Hallo your rollers are dirty and smudged

2.Is your fuser unit O.k (clean)

3.is your paper good quality or are you using coated paper the wrong side? thereby staining the fuser unit (the hot part of the printer)

4. Most unlikely but have u ever turned your printer upside down??? or excess sideways tilt thereby releasing waste toner from the bottom of the printer to the roof then to your paper???

if all is nay then remove all toners and give your machine a gool blowout

Printed pages look dirty

That black dust that fell out is the toner. When you shake a toner cartridge that shouldn't happen. It looks like you have a faulty toner cartidge and that need to be replaced! Now to make your printer prints cleanly and clearly after you replace the cartridge, you'll need to get someone to service the printer(the faulty toner cartridge more than likely spilled toner on your internal printer parts, cause the smudges). Sevicing would mainly entail, taking down the printer and removing any spilt toner! If you feel you are up to this, be cautious, because toner can be hazardous to your health if you accidentally breathe it in! hope this was helpful! regards babb
