R1150rt. after a fuel stop it died on the road, changed the fuel

Check for a shorted or grounded fuel injector the test light will flash but there's not enough current to move the injector. Use a DVOM check that they're all the same.

Sounds like you got some bad gas. May need to replace the fuel filter

There are three possibilities:
1. Fuel pump and filter
2. Catalytic converter plugging up
3. Lack of venting on the fuel tank.

Kind of sounds like a stopped up fuel filter. Does it do OK til it gets hot then want to cut off?

It is normal for the pump to run for two seconds when first switched on to pressurize the fuel system. It will turn on again when cranking and while running. I would still suspect the pump given your symptoms, however other problems could also give you the same symptoms. If it is the original pump from 2002, or more than about 7 or 8 years old, I would definitely replace it, and the fuel filter. Often the pump will go intermittent. I had one that I could restart and get down the road by hitting the bottom of the gas tank a few times!

Hi...typical of a fuel pump going bad. Might want to try getting a fuel pressure test done.

Could be the timing belt/chain. Common problem with this engine.

first you have to check if you have spark , and fuel delivery, without these it will not start.

• see if you can hear the fuel pump click over when you turn it to start position! this may be a fuel pump?
