I ADDED SONGS TO MY COBY MP815 USING WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER AND NOW IT WONT TURN ON. I PLUG IT INTO MY COMPUTER USING MY USB AND WHEN I UNPLUG MY USB FROM THE MP815 THE SCREEN FLASHES WHITE FOR A QUICK...

Hello,

Assuming the player is charged. (For charging always connect directly to the computer, not through a reader or hub).
When buttons on the player do not react, reset the player:
Disconnect the player from the computer.
See that the HOLD button is not engaged.
Gently push the RESET button on the rear side: use a narrow pointed
object, like a paperclip.

Did synchronization of the songs in Windows Media Player fail ?
For transferring songs, check in Windows Media Player:
1. The player is detected in Windows Media Player 10 or higher.
2. Setup the Library / Add to Library: add the location of songs you want to transfer in the library.
3. Create Playlist; give the list a name and put songs in a playlist
4. Sync Playlist: transfer the list of songs onto the player and wait for the message until you're allowed to disconnect.

My Sony Walkman NWZ-E436F shuts off after creating the library

Hi I had the same problem and I finally figured it out.
First you will have to try to connect to the computer by pluggin it in and reseting once the computer recognizes it you should be able to look at the files.
If you are able to get the device to this point;
1. create a folder on you computer it could be in you desktop or document and name it something you would remember to go to. I named mine SONY.
2. copy all the folders from your WALKMAN to this folder;
3. delete all files from your WALKMAN there are some files it will not allow you to and just hit SKIP.
4. download the Firmware update (1.02) from the SONY Suport website: http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu-list.pl?mdl=NWZE436F and select your computers operating system and download the file.
5. Once you download it run it and it should re-install all the necesary files back to you device.
6. Re-start the WALKMAN and it sould work just fine now you can go back and add your music files and photos, etc...

Good luck this worked perfectly for mine.

Sony NWZ-B105f shuffle repeats same songs after start up, does not pick new songs.

Press and hold the Reset button for 30 seconds then try playing the songs. If the issue persists then format the walkman then reload all the musics and try playing back.

If the issue persists even after performing all the above mentioned steps then service is required.

Follow the under mentioned steps to format the Walkman:

Press and hold the Back/Home button in the Pause mode until the Home menu appears.
Press the up/down/left/right button to select Settings, and then press the >|| button to confirm.
Press the up/down/left/right button to select "Common Settings," and then press the >|| button to confirm.
The list of "Common Settings" options appears.
Press the up/down/left/right button to select "Format" and then press the >|| button to confirm.
"All data including songs will be deleted. Proceed?" message will appear.
Press the up/down button to select "Yes," and then press the >|| button to confirm.
"All data will be deleted. Proceed?" message will appear.
Press the up/down button to select "Yes," and then press the >|| button to confirm.
While the memory is being formatted, an animated display appears. When initialization finishes, "Memory formatted." message appears.

Sony Walkman SUDDENLY won't connect to my computer

What you can try doing is to uninstall the driver that the computer has installed for it. To do this, right click on My Computer/Computer (depending on your OS it has different names) click properties, and then manage. Once that opens, on the left menu, select Device Manager. From there, plug in your MP3 player, double click to get to its properties, and then uninstall it. restart your computer, and hopefully that should fix it so you can get into it and format it. If you have any problems, repost and i can try helping you more. Sean Huffstickler

The walkman malfunctioned!!! please help!!!

Hi there, one of the problems you have is that there is not much you can access from via your phone, so often the easiest (although not speediest) solution is to re-upload the songs. Have you tried adding another song, playing it, and seeing if that song will play successfully? If it does, then I would suggest deleting the other songs, and uploading them to your phone again. If this is not possible (because you downloaded them straight from mobile network), upload them to a PC and see if the songs will play - if they do, save them to PC, reformat your card (my computer -> right click on card name -> format) and then put them back on your phone. Unfortunately if they wont play on PC either, the chances are they have been corrupted and you may have to contact your download source for a refund or new copies. If after trying these options you are still stuck, try a) a mates memory card in your phone, and b) your memory card in a mates phone. If a works and b doesnt, contact your memory card supplier. If b works and a doesnt, then contact your phone manufacturer. Hope this helps and isnt too confusing - Chris.
