I am attempting to repair the 240V to 12V section of an Engel portable fridge freezer power supply, but a resistor and a diode are so burnt I cant read any markings. Where can I get a Schematic diagram and a supply of spare electronic components for an Engel?

I do a lot of various fridge repairs. Power supplies in these small units are not well proteced from the elements and not easy to repair.(space wise). Simply if you are in a jamb, buy a 220/12 volt battery charger and do the small alteration/conversion.look for a 1.5 to 2amp charger. only downside is both items need to be used together.
I have the same problem ( 220 not working ) with my Engel and replace the following parts on the 220v pc board:
1.Cap 82 uf 400v snp - part nr 400usp82
2.Fuse ft3.15 AH 250 v
3.Coil 05 463 replace with similar coil - part nr 14c0484
All parts can be purchase from MANTECH Electronics

Personaly I have never seen a manufacturer realease that sort of infomation.

My 4 year old Engel started smoking recently when the compressor runs. I have inspected the power supply board (same as ''anda2's'' comment) but can't see the faulty component. The fridge runs for a few seconds, then cuts out and starts smoking. Any help dearly appreciated.

I bought a fridge from someone who told me it keeps drinks ideally cold at 2 degrees. At Christmas I tried it and it started freezing the drinks, I turned it down a bit and it worked fine, I then turned it off for a month, now it takes a day to drop 4 degrees with nothing in it.
