Pictures that I take come out very white/bright. you cannot tell details. I have changed batteries and have the setting on auto.

this can be usually associated with your white balance in still camera mode.
Check to see your white balance is set correctly or just set it to auto. Also make sure the mode you are in it set. (ie. indoor, outdoor, auto, speed)

There is no details about the factory reset of your tV in its user manual. But intvidual reset for picture, sound etc can be selected and can be reset to factory reset.

Be sure you are using an auto mode. Have the white balance set to "auto wb"...the ISO to "auto ISO" or somewhere between 100 to 400.

Do you have the ISO set to a very high number instead of "auto ISO"?

YOU CAN CHANGE THE POWER SETTING TOO

WHEN IT IS ON BATTERY POWER OR IT IS IN A/C POWER.

Need more details on the problem, but...

Perhaps your light settings are set completely too bright so all you see is white. Like i said though, i'll need more details.

This has happened to me also. You mention that you were changing settings. The symptoms sound like your camera is in a special setting other than "Auto". Examples that would produce such results include Fireworks or Manual. Recommend trying to change your settings one more time:

1. Turn the camera on, and press the FUNC/SET button.
2. Press left or right on your circular dial switch until "Auto" is selected.
3. Press the FUNC/SET button one more time to set the camera to Automatic.

Now take a picture to see if this fixed it.

it depends on what your using it for, adjust colour tones to what you think looks natural, contrast between 80-90, keep sharpness below 30. just have a play around till you find what best suits the source material.

i rally dont know, i personally always keep my flash on auto and keep the brightness auto or 50%. if this is the case, then i strongly recommend contacting Sony and asking them for a solution, or taking it down to the store you purchased it from and asking them to fix it or refund it!!!
