I own the Durabrand Model DVD-1002 player, and the remote died. I've tried using a universal remote, and it tries to program, but won't do what it's supposed to. Can I get a new remote just for this player?
No way, all chinese DVD players has near the same remotes but with mixed buttons, finding a match or programming a universal remote is near impossible.
I am not sure if it is the codes or the sensor that is not working, but I am trying to program my universal remote to my duraband dvd-1002. I have 3 different RCA universal remotes that all have the code for the duraband dvd player but none of them work. I am starting to believe there is a problem with the sensor on the dvd player. Is there any other way to test the sensor to see if that is the problem.\r\nI just find it extremly hard to believe that all three remotes with about six different codes will not work. Please help!

I wish I had the code, but no. If it is forthcoming then it will be via a hacker, or someone who gets lucky. I just got an email back from lenoxx customer service (the guys who made the 1002 ... at least, the one I have) and they have gone bankrupt:

I too have a remote that no loger works; one of the components snappped off (past repair) while my wife was simply changing tracks on a cd.

This product isn't being supported anymore by Walmart because the manufacturer Lennox Electronics went out business in December of 2007.
