My TV is stuck in the Video Menu page. Pressing any key on the remote will only cycle between a blue screen and the video menu. Also, the power button the TV will not turn the TV on, but it will turn the TV off. In contrast, the power button the TV will turn the TV on, but when it is on, the power button, like all the others on the remote, will only cycle between the blue screen and the video menu page.
Unplug TV for about 2(two) hours, while the TV is unpluged press the on\off button on the TV every once in a while. Replug electricity and try to turn the TV without the r\c, use the on\off button only...If that does not work...u need a tech to look inside..

Check and replace damaged component/s at its horizontal scan output section circuit. Check the LOT (Line Output Transformer) too for damage. Replace the horizontal scan output transistor. Check the input voltage to LOT. If the voltage is absent check the feeder resistor; if any. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. I HAVE FOUND THE ANSWER!!!! I just bought an TCL TV last night and was given the wrong remote. Screen was stuck on "no media" screen BUT I noticed that when I turn the tv on and keep pressing the menu button, the menu screen would pop up for a half second before the no media screen popped up again. So I knew it was able to access it. SO, it took a few try's and with no exact method I turned the tv on, waited til I saw the TCL logo and then simultaneously pressed the menu and channel up button repeatedly. It will open the menu for you and allow you to move between the input channels!!!! It WILL take a few tries to catch it but it worked!!! Your welcome!!!!
Maybe the remote has some keys that are stuck together on the membrane pad. Take the batteries out of the remote, then turn the TV on again see if the menu problem is still happening. Also check the menu button on the TV see if it is stuck by pressing it a few times.......
If all seems ok but still have the same problem, then the the keypad board in the TV needs to be checked for intermittent shorts or opens. If the keypad board is good then the main board needs troubleshooting. This seems like an EEPROM problem, you may want to test that first on the main board.
1. Press the "Right Arrow" button on the remote.
2. Press the "Left Arrow" button on the remote
3. press the number keys in order, 1-9
I believe you are in the TV's service menu and the Blue/Green/Black are just test patters. If so, pressing these keys will eventually change the pattern..
Get to the main page of the service menu and press the [power] button on the remote.
I found in the manual on page 13 bottom, that if you PRESS STOP buttom for 5 seconds of your remote controller then you can see the picture on the interlaced mode again on your TV.
Otherwise you have to connect you DVD to a unit that has progresiv scan, such as an HDTV, some computers if they have an input or to a projector .
I connected my DVD to a projector thru the VIDEO output and put eveything back to normal, and it is working fine now.
