Brand new Vivitar vivicam 8025 Camera. Once switched on I get an MSDC screen and cant navigate from it. It's frozen. Ther only way to get rid of it is to turn it off and back on. This only brings me back to the Blue MSDC screen again. How do I solve this problem?

Try flipping the battery over (where the metal connectors are pointing down).

Vivicam 8025 what does the MSDC screen mean while charging

The MSDC indicates that the camera has recognized it's connected to a computer.

The red light indicates that the camera's battery is charging.

Turned the camera on but screen display says MSDC and can turn not camera off

Make sure the battery is inserted correctly. We spent 5 hours complaining about the camera we bought for our daughter because we couldn't get rid of the MSDC message. We had put the battery back in it upside-down after inserting the memory card; she is the one who discovered our mistake.

My roommate had the same problem, pretty easy to fix. Make sure your memory card and battery are all the way in and they should lock. If you lost the booklet, the positive/geative signs should be on the bottom right when sliding it in.

Why after 8hrs charge am I only getting blue screen/w MSDC

The blue MSDC screen simply tells you that the camera is connected to the computer. To use the camera, disconnect it from the computer.

Vivitar 8025 comes up msdc when i connect usb lead to my computer

It's supposed to do that, informing you that it's in mass storage mode. Once connected you control it from the computer, not the camera.

Blue Screen MSDC

You should only get that screen when it's charging on the wall charger or when it is hooked up to your computer via the USB cord.
