Is the paper a shade of grey with no image? or is there an image with a grey background? If there is a image with a grey background you should try a new toner module. If that doesn't resolve the issue, clean the xerographic drum, make 10 blank copies, if the cleaning doesn't resolve the issue than install a new xerographic module.
First place an original on glass and make a copy -- mark #1. With that same original on the glass, move the exposure all the way light and make a copy -- mark #2. Again with the same original on the glass, move the exposure all the way dark and make a copy --- mark #3. Place #1 in the middle so the the copies read --- #2, #1, #3. The #2 should be the lightest and #3 being the darkest. If #2 is darker than #3 you have a developer problem and you need to call for service. If #1 and #2 are bad and #3 is a good copy your machine probably just needs a good cleaning, mainly the optics and charge units. If all 3 copies are still poor with the speckles, your are looking at the PCU ( photo conductive unit) also called the drum unit. You can order this unit online -- it is a customer replaceable item.
Is it getting thru the "pinch of the fuser and catching on the stripper fingers? If so clean the fingers, ensure they are not worn or tips broken.(Running sheets with dark lead edge can cause sheets to stick to rollers, try running blank sheets to clean up, if they get thru then try normal copies) If the sheet stops before entering the rolls more likely to be dirty entry chute, drive problem or sensor problem....need more detail
The small scanner glass (not the full size glass) has some dirt on it. Use a lint-free cloth (not paper) with alcohol or Windex and clean the glass. This should help.
