Error message UO51

After replacing both black and colour cartridges my printer won't work and is giving me a UO51 code with check ink. I have tried replacing the old cartridges but get the same message. Help?

    Tried everything, even re installing the printer and re installing the original cartridges that were definitely working. I am waiting for Canon to get back to me but have been waiting four days now so they are not hurrying.Thanks anyway for giving a few suggestions.

    Hi

    Problem resolved! Bought Cannon cartridges and replaced the compatable ones and it worked ok, I have used the compatable ones before though with no problems so I don't really understand why the printer has suddenly decided not to accept them, but in future I will stick with the cannon ones, may be more expensive but a lot less trouble when things like this happen!

    i have canon pixma mp170 i had change the ink

    refill the deposits,but it did not work.

    got the original ink and still doesnt work

    untill now i dont believe canon brand is agood buy.

    installed new black ink cartridge and get error check ink Uo51 . we replaced with the exact same black ink cartridge. fax machine will not work despite restarting, cleaning heads, removing film etc.

Are you using official Cannon cartridges or "ink refill" cartridges? Did you reset your ink levels in the software?

    Did you try taking out the cartridges, unplugging it, plugging it back in, then adding the cartridges?

Check ink uo51 error

This is usually an error indicating that one or both of the cartridges are not being recognised and is usually accompanied by a message on the computer screen saying which one. Try cleaning the copper strip on the front of the cartridge (in front of the label on the side) and if that doesnt work it needs to be replaced

Each cartridge having printing life, as long as cartridge health condition is good it won't gives any trouble. Subjected series printer having mono & colour cartridges,1. Remove both cartridge from the printer 2. Switch on & wait till message appears for insert the cartridges..3. Insert mono(Black) cartridge, close the door & wait till message appears on screen. If message appears same as cartridge error mean that mono cartridge is faulty replace it, if message appears like insert another cartridge, it's confirmed that colour cartridge faulty.. Replace it..

The black ink on my Brother DCP-130C won't print and it's a brand new ink cartridge. I thought it was a defected cartridge so I bought another one, same thing. The other 3 colours print ok though....

I have the same problem. Everything on the printer is working just fine. It'll do a test page just fine, so everything's working right. The %$^ thing just won't print. It makes noise like it's printing when you give it a print job, but it spits out blank pages.

Will 27 black and 28 tri-colour cartridge work on a D1560 hp deskjet

HP 21 black and HP 22 tricolor cartridges are the cartridges compatible with HP DESKJET D1560.HP 27 and 28 won't work with your printer because they won't get recognized by the machine.It will only give you an error message like incompatible cartridges.

Can ip1300 print with just black ink cartridge?

AS far as I know you cannot put a black cartridge in the place of a colour cartridge it has to be a colour one. Check your printer properties to see if you can set your printer to work in black only, if you can then set it to black but leave the empty colour cartridge in place. This works for my 1800. Give it a try.

Hi,

some cartridges are charged up ( have a chip fitted to them )
If the chip is not charged to tell the printer it,s full of ink. this will cause the problem.
have you tried. unplugging the printer from the mains. then powering it back up.
also try using the printers own software to add new cartridges et,c.
you could also try re-installing the printers drivers/software if you have it,s instalation disk.

My printer will not accept a new black cartridge.

ITS NOT THE BLACK CARTRIDGE!!! Try changing the colour cartridge and see what happens. When a 9600 checks ink levels it does the black ink first, then the colour, if the colour is low it goes back and checks the black again but will constantly give an error message for the black cartridge. Sounds bizarre but try just the black cartridge in with no colour. print a test page in black only, if that does not print then it is a fault. Also make sure the driver is updated!!!

Hp psc 1610 alignment error

replace the colour cartridge aLSO AS IT NEEDS some specific colour to start this allignment and to complete but the colour is not getting printed so this error.
remove the cartridges from the printer.unplug the printer for some time.then again ON it and insert the cartridges and try .
sometimes it helps.
