I have a 2002 Chevy Cavalier. The other day I noticed that my clock was on 12:00 - I thought maybe I left a light on and the battery died, but my car started. Today my car wont start at all. I charged it for 2 hours - still nothing. When I turn the key it makes a really fast clicking noise and all of my dash lights light up, but the engine doesn't turn over. Is it my starter, or something worse?
If you recently replaced the battery and are continuing to have this issue, i suggest that you clean the battery terminals.
obviously your car is getting power (fast clicking indicates this) so you will need a good battery jump. also check your cables, sometimes your cables may not supply sufficient power for the recharge
Your battery isnt holding enough charge to crank the starter.thats what the clicking is. try charging you battery for a good 8-10 hours, if it still does the same thing you'll need a new battery.
