Replaced fuel pump in my 99 ford crown Vic but still won't start

can you hear the fuel pump working if not check the wiring and power and ground by the tank. check fuel pressure, as if its low it won`t start, you can get bad new parts. do you have spark at the plugs. check for codes. just some places to start.

I have a 95 Ford crown Vic it will turn over but won't crank,it has half a tank of gas, changed the fuel relays, all fuses good in all fuse boxes but it will not start only turn over I'm lost

check codes first--may find problem there.
check spark on more then 1 cylinder.
check fuel pressure and volume--if fuel filter is stopped up, may have overworked fuel pump. With fuel cap off you should hear fuel pump running (key on) If not running, check for power at sub harness--Lastly tap on bottom of fuel tank with RUBBER hammer while someone else is cranking vehicle--if it starts get it to where you can remove tank before turning off--very often one time deal.

Spark plug blew out now car wont start

sounds like the autoshutoff relay may be bad..it controls the ingition and the fuel pump too..if the pump works check for spark by inserting a screwdriver into a pulled off spark plug wire and look for a decent spark between the screwdriver shaft and any ground like the block..if no spark the relay may not be powering up the ignition system..

are you able to have the engine code read? for free at any autozone or advance auto parts store? sounds exactly like you have a bad computer, located on the passenger side at the kick panel where your right foot would be if you're setting in the passenger side seat.!1st i would check your ecm fuse located under the hood in the main fuse box on the driverside fenderwell, all good? then move towards the computer. thank you for choosing fixya.com!

1997 dodge ram won't start. My fuel pump does not run and coil won't spark. Iv'e checked fuses and relays and they look fine. Could a bad fuel pump cause the asd to kill power to the coil?

First check any ignition/fuel related fuses. Check to make sure you have 12 volts coming into the pump and coil. If nothing to the fuel pump replace the fuel pump relay - if you do have power to the fuel pump then replace the pump. If nothing is coming to the coil it is either an ignition relay or a wiring issue. If you have 12 volts to the coil but no spark then replace the coil.
Also the fuel pump/relay would not kill the coil.

2006 crown vic; the fuel pump, will not kick. changed fuel pump, all fuses and relays. i can ground the pump and make it run all the time. but it will not kick on and off.

From your description, sounds like your pump wants an external pressure regulator - and that the pump is designed to be "always on'. Follow the ground lead back to its source - I suspect that you will find a bad connection (rust or broken). You can test it with an ohm meter (between the ground lead and the car chassis. Wth the key ON, the meter should show a very low resistance to ground. Wth the key off, a very high resistance (or open) to ground.
