After changing the batteries in my skyscan wall clock and transmitter, the time will not register, and the date is wrong. I've waited 24 hours for it to reset with sattelite, but nothing has happened.

Place the clock near a westerly window, if possible. It should only take a few minutes to reset. These clocks work using signals sent by terrestial radio waves, not satellites.

How are the batteries replaced, in the transmitter first, then the clock?

Hi,
The transmitter for your radio controlled clock is the atomic clock in your region, I wouldn't advise trying to replace the batteries in it.
I am guessing you are talking about a remote wireless sensor supplied with your clock! Put good quality batteries in this and place it next to your receiver (your clock) while it registers and then you can place it outside or wherever you want it.

AI can't figure out how to set the atomic clock

This clock will set it's self in a 24 hour time frame. You need only set the time zone your in.

If it does not correct it;s self change walls and location in your house.

The transmitter is located in Fort Collins, Colorado. this station transmits the time codes and is best received at night.

Hope this tip helps.

We replaced the batteries on our SIO SCAN temp transmitter but it still will not register the outside temperature--what do I do?

Take the batteries out of the clock AND the temp transmitter. Wait about a minute, then replace the clock batteries. Wait another minute, then replace the transmitter batteries. Once the clock synchronizes with the satellite, you will need to set the time zone and whether you want DST on or off.

Also,

If you have lost the outside temperature on the clock display after replacing the transmitter battery then do the following:

1. Make sure you have good batteries installed in the remote transmitter
2. Remove the batteries from the main clock and keep them out until the clock display disappers.
3. Re-install the batteries in the clock.
4. Wait until the display returns and includes the outside temperature display as well.
5. Set the clock again for current time/date etc.
6. Bingo. You are in business.

Outside temperture

Try changing the batteries in the CLOCK. I had the same problem in a 3M similar clock and it didn't read the transmitter correctly or eventually, at all, when the CLOCK batteries were getting low.
