Hello, try to unplug the cables on your desktop, then plug it again, sometimes its loose, or sometimes the power supply on your computer is not functioning properly.

The monitor turns on but says "no signal"

Usually this means either your cable isn't connecting properly to your computer or there is a compatibility problem between the monitor and the computer. Are you getting the "no signal" message AFTER you have connected the machine to a working/ turned on computer? Because the monitor will ALWAYS say "No signal" if it isn't hooked up to anything. Also, you will want to verify that none of your pins (from the end of the cable) is missing, and that your cable is firmly seated into the port on your computer. Other than those things, you really need to say a lot more than just, "The monitor turns on but says 'no signal'" for anyone to be able to assist you.

Everytime i start up computer a sigal appears saying "no video input"

I'm assuming after a few minutes, it does get a signal from your computer and all works? It does take about 30s +/- 90s for a computer to generate an output video signal so if your monitor comes on first, before the computer can send a video signal, then you'll see that message. You should see the same message if you shut down your PC and leave the monitor on.

I have a samsung 17'' lcd monitor.when i power on my monitor without data cable i got a message on screen CHECK SIGNAL CABLE.when i connect data cable my lcd is going to power off.please help?

The message says that the monitor doesn't receives signal - which is normal. Since the problem appears only after you plug in the cable in means that the problem is located there - something is wrong with your pc, most likely the video card has died.

When i turn it on it says no signal? Does this

The no signal can either be "no signal" or a signal that is out of range. Check first by connecting the monitor to a known good video output (ie another computer). If that works, then the problem is with the source and not the monitor. Sometimes the source computer has its resolution set too high and the monitor will not be able to process that resolution. The no signal message will occur then as well.

My samsung 940N acts like a florescent tube, tries to start and doesn't

Use the self test feature.. follow the steps..

1. Turn off both your computer and the monitor.
2. Unplug the video cable from the back of the computer.
3. Turn on the monitor.
If the monitor is functioning properly, you will see a box in the illustration below.
This box appears during normal operation if the video cable becomes disconnected or
damaged.
4. Turn off your monitor and reconnect the video cable; then turn on both your computer and the
monitor.
If your monitor screen remains blank after using the previous procedure, check your video
controller and computer system; your monitor is functioning properly.

Warning

The Power supply inside the monitor can be hazardous and donot open the monitor while power on.

Donot work with the monitor when it is open and the power supply is on.

If there is something wrong with the input signal, a message appears on the screen or the
screen goes blank although the power indicator LED is still on. The message may indicate
that the monitor is out of scan range or that you need to check the signal cable.

When i turn my monitor on it is saying that no signal or cable is not connected but ihave evrything connected

The monitor will display that message until the computer starts and outputs a valid signal to the monitor.
If the computer is on and you still get that message, then you may have a bad video card/video circuit or a bad cable between the computer and monitor.

LCD projector no signal message

Usually means that the computer is not sending a signal out the the projector via the monitor cable. Most Windows based laptop computers allow you to connect to a second monitor by pressing the Fn + F7 or F8 key, once to allow just the projector, twice to allow both the projector and laptop screen and three times back to only the laptop.
