Change TomTom Go700 from yards to meters

I have a 720 but I suspect it will be the same or similar.
Tap the screen and then Change Preferences. Use the forward arrow to scroll to the relevant page (5 on mine) where you will find Set Units. Tap this and then change whatever units you wish.

Hi, Tom Tom 710 has not come on for weeks.

it doesnt get better by itself. Despite having a green light doesnt mean it is charged. try changing the battery

after speaking to another owner of a simulal tomtom go 700 iwas told to pres the restore button at the rear of my unit and that solved that problem. kledwood

Perform a hard reset. That should delete every last bit of info you have saved on your tomtom. To do this press and hold the power and reset buttons for about 5 seconds.

TOM TOM GO 700

I faced the same problem for tom tom and found that the battery had gone down. I switched it on after connecting to the power source in the Car and it was fine.

If its not battery discharge...you may have to contact tom tom support.

Hi my tom tom go 700 dosnt turn on

I had the same issue. I used a paper clip to press the reset button on the bottom of the device.

You can replace it yourself if you have some experience with dismantling electronic equipment. Unfortunately it is not an easy operation though. The main tools you need are a small star-shaped screwdriver and a soldering iron.

I contacted tomtom service centre and their stock reply is send it to us we will give you an estimate, charge you a lot of money and then ssend it back not really helpful from tomtom i just want to know how to get the battery out

If you have a problem with the battery, please contact TomTom customer support.
Don't forget that you can use your TomTom device in the car with the car charger and at home with the home charger or home dock even if you are having a problem with the battery.
