DVD COMBO drive

I have a LG DVD COMBO drive-HL- DT-ST RW /DVD GCC-H21N. I unknowingly changed my DVD region from "DVD REGION NOT SELECTED" to region 1. But now my drive doesnt recognize DVDs at all,even it doesnt play Region 1 dvds.When i insert a dvd and explore the drive doesnt show any sign of it.But my dirve works well with CDs. How to fix this. I'm for Cuba and I have the exactly same problem that you have. My drive sometimes reproduce a DVD and sometime not. It es funny because it recognize only the DVD movies or music, but not data DVD. I try to solute it by upgrading the drive with the latest firmware 1.02 for XP and Vista, but it'snt work, so I hope you write me if you find any solution to this problem. I will be gratefull to you unknoun friend.

I do have same problem,I also change the region from "Not selected" to "Region 5",Now I am unable to play any dvd cos it says there in no disc in drive.Also I am not able to change region to "Not selected"..

Pls help me ..If any one has a fix for this problem..
