Need remote code to control a Panasonic Omnivision VHS PV-M2079 TV/VCR combination

The VCR should set itself up. But if it doesn't have a digital tuner then it will not find any stations. You will just have to cancel that bit and do the rest. You can connect a set top box to the scart socket 2. If you want to record you have to set the timer manually and set it to record scart 2 not a channel. If the VCR has PDC set it to off.

The best code I could find was "007"

"210" kind of works, but can't compete with Mr. Bond.

After programming "007", if there are any features of you FiOS remote that do not work on the HK AVR 354 remote, simply follow the HK AVR 354 manual instructions to "learn" additional commands. See the last paragraph on page 31 through letter "e" on page 32.

I found a newer Comcast PDF file that shows a 5 digit number for tv with vcr ( no mention of DVD) but the code worked to turn on the tv and cable box together. My problem is it won't work the volume, yet

I have the same tv/vcr combo and according to my Advent unversal remote chart Panasonic code =
one of : 1003, 1054, 1062, 1109, 1170 or 1248

According to my Phillips universal remote chart = 416, 937

Don't know if this will help but I have Comcast as my cable TV provider and am using a Motorola DCT-6200 STB and the remote Comcast provides with the STB. To get my Panasonic TV/VCR combo (PVQ-2510A) to work with the Comcast remote I had to do the following:

1) Do the remote code search in AUX mode (or VCR or DVD mode if your remote has that button instead) using the instructions for searching ing remote codes. I had to toggle back and forth between AUX and POWER on the remote until the TV turned off. I saved that code on the remote, but it only controlled the power on the TV, not the volume control.

2) Next I did the remote code search using the TV button on the remote and toggled between the TV button and the volume control until the volume +/- bar appeared on the screen. I saved that code too.

I use the AUX button to turn the TV on and off. Once the TV is on the volume control on the remote operates the TV volume normally. I still need to toggle between CABLE and AUX depending on which device I'm controlling, the cable Set Top Box (STB) or the TV. You may have to experiment some to get it to work correctly.

The secret is that the VCR code turns the set on/off and the TV code controlls the volume...try this:

Program the Verizon remote AUX button using the panasonic VCR codes until it turns the set on/off, program the remote for TV using the panasonic TV codes until it controls volume, then program the STB button to control all 3... STB, TV, and AUX. If you are missing any VCR or TV funtions try another respective panasonic code until all functions are available.

Panasonic VCR codes are 1089, 0062, 0189, 0252, 0643, 1062.
Panasonic TV codes are 0277, 0078, 0677, 1437.

To figure this out, I had to use the "what if none of the codes worked" section and figured I'd try the VCR codes since the TV codes would not turn it on/off.

Unplug the Moto box and plug back in after 1 min, as far as the codes, which remote cable/ tv? Cable remotes vary so much you will probably have to call your provider to have them walk you through programming.
