One of the water inlet valves is not closing all the way. I will bet that you live in an area with hard water. The valve likely has a lot of buildup on it, and just can't close all the way now. You might be able to remvove the valve and soak in vinegar before buying a replacement valve.

Door will not open if machine not emptied immediately cycle ends

This is an anti-flood protection, since water would flood the kitchen if you could open the door. If the machine shuts down for some fault and leaves the drum with water in, then it is advisable to drain the drum down via the small hose at the front of the machine. Simply remove the plug and empty into a large container until the drum is empty. You can then start to work out why the cycle ceased prematurely.

My washing machine keeps FLOODING THE HOUSE :(

Was the machine level when it was rocking? If so there's possibly an issue with the suspension tip machine back and look underneath and make sure the 2 rods connected to either side of the plastic drum housing are connected to the base of machine(they are on an angle running to the machine frame) if there ok and don't look damaged tip it back upright. Then Take off the top panel there's screws at the back and slide it back to get off. There should be 2 big springs connected from top to the drum check they are ok, also check the big weights on the front & back of drun housing aren't broken or loose. Its most likely the water level pressure settings have faulted from the bad shaking, there's hose ( usually cream colored thin rubber) hose connected to a round switch with wires come out of its connected to machine frame. Make sure there's no water in machine then take off hose and pou back on again and check its also attached to machine drum housing(hose runs down inside machine) once this is reset it will probably fix problem. Turn on machine and fill the wates should stop well before half way up the glass window if not there's still problems and it will overflow when clothes are put in

Hotpoint WDL520P Washer dryer Filling up with water as it should during the drying phase untill the end of the cycle when it fills up entire drum with water constantly during this cycle it is constant

The other logical point is that it can be related to a faulty output or error from the program controller output. In some cases choosing an alternate program cycle can confirm this case of faulty cycle patterns.

check the electronic inlet valve I dont know the code but the symptm sound like a faulty leaking inlet valve

as a temp remedy you shoud have a inline isolator check valve this is where the water fill pipes connect to turn them off this will stop the machine from flooding untill you are able to seek repair

Water sometimes does not shut off. flooded twice. happens intermittently.

If when the machine is flooding if you turn off power to the machine and it continues to fill: replace water inlet valve. If flooding water stops filling when power is interupted: clean out the end of the water level switch tube where it connects to the outer wash tub.

Samsung Silver Care washing machine

Sounds like your inlet valve is stuck Open ( meaning it wont shut off incoming water ) That may be defective or the control to it may be at fault.. Try unplugging the washer ..and see if the water still continues to fill up the drum? If that happens, then your valve is probably in need of replacement.. Typically, when de-energized..they close and stop water from entering the system.. Hope that helps

Water overflow

Are you on a well? Often people with a lot of sediment in water get sick of the screens in water valve plugging up so they remove them. NEVER remove these screens. If any sediment gets into valve it can hold it open causing flooding. If you unplug unit and water still comes in you must replace valve.
