Hi! I recently borrowed my mother's Honeywell Air Purifier model 18155 and it worked great two days. We went out of town for one night, came home and the the thing wouldn't turn on. No lights, sound or anything! It wasn't even moved at all from the location where it was working just a day before. I wonder if we had a power surge or something that burned a fuse. I moved it to another outlet and still nothing. Any suggestions? I need clean air in my daughter's room; she has asthma.
Thanks!
Rick
Hi,
Check the manufacturer's instructions here for resetting of sensors and filter maintenance:

Mine did the same thing, just died. It's my second unit, the first one, after only 8 months, started to make a noise like a bearing was going out. Instead of paying another $50 for return postage and handling, I'll just not buy another huneywell -- ever.
I recommend the Aerus Guardian Air. It is the only air purifier on the market that is FDA approved as a Class2 Medical Device. I have one of my own and HIGHLY recommend them. Call 570-326-1731 and ask for Liz if you would like more details.

thanks. I read the manual, and followed the reset instructions. (I plugged it in, held the hepa buttin for 15 secs, then held the orefilter button for 15 secs, then tried to turn the unit on. It still won't tun on at all. Completely dead.)
