My sirius skips to am function from disc, Satelittle and Ipod

Can you be more specific about what model number you are using? Is this a car in-dash unit or a boombox, or what? Thanks.

Sportster 5 turns on and off randomly every few seconds hooked to a dock.

Sportster units get very hot ! If you use it in the boombox stop ! Take the radio unit out - remove the silver cover from the boombox ( don't overlook the 2 hidden screws under the speaker grills ) take a dremel tool with a cutting wheel - and cut all the shrouding away around the top of the reciever. This will allow the radio to run way cooler ! I also drilled several holes thru the swivel mount to allow better air-flow !

I have a Sirius sportster boombox. When I turn it stays on the logo . I press the channels and nothing but silence happens. Also yesterday morning it turned on fine but when I changed the channel...

It sounds like you have entered a AUX mode this is when the device tried to find audio input (for example an ipod) look for a button called Function/input or radio

Is there at anyway possible to make this boombox play my iPod thru the speakers?

Only if it has an auxiliary input for the left and right (white and red RCA inputs, respectively) to input the iPod's output through a mini plug/RCA (white and red) adapter cable.
