Callers are not getting transferred to voice mail when I can't answer my blackberry pearl 8100

Enter your voicemail by dialing 1, then follow the prompts to change the greeting.

I would give you step by step, but it differs by each carrier.

Please check the volume of you're Handheld still if it is not working, You need to walk into the service center to check the speaker's of you're Handheld.

1 - Have you got credit in the phone voice mail costs to listen to?

2 - Have you turned on (in phone call or mail settings) receive voicemails, most are turned off my Default because its not a free sservice?

The blackberry doesn't offer call recording, in fact it only offers one kind of recording and that's a voice message.

You will need to reload the software onto your Pearl. You will need to download the blackberry desktop manager software and the appropriate handheld device software. Click Here to access T-Mobile's blackberry page.

I think the internal speaker is damaged. You can use speaker and turn the volume down but if the phone isn't under warranty I don't think you can easily fix it.

Assuming you have the audio volume turned up, do you have a bluetooth headset? Check the Bluetooth options to make sure there are no associated bluetooth devices (or just turn bluetooth off).

If that still doesn't work, try clicking the trackwheel and seeing if it says "Mute" or "Unmute" respectively.

If you still can't hear the callers voice, you may have a defective earpiece in the phone and it's time for repair. If you don't have a bluetooth headset, you can try to use one of those to hold a conversation. I have my bluetooth headset around my neck at all times, I can't stand talking without it. As an added bonus, people who can't see my earpiece in my ear thinks I'm talking to myself.

Typically you will press and hold down the #1 key, which will call your voice mail. If that doesn't work, then you should contact your wireless carrier and they can help you set it up.
