If you go to Directv.com and go to the remote control programming section you can put in the make and model of the tv and it will usually come up with a specific code that may work. I hope this helps a little bit. :)

you would need to contact directv at 800-531-5000 and if programming it did not work, and setting it to default did not work, you may need a new remote. remote will cost about $15 unless you have the protection plan then it should be free depending on some circumstances.
