You have to set bluetooth as default audio device. For doing this, go to >Contro Panel> Sound and Audio Devices>Audio(Tab) and in Default Device choose bluetooth deviceI connected to my DELL desktop. No sound - 2.gif.
In my case, I had problem when i installed SP3 on XP. I changed my bluetooth driver to "Toshiba Bluetooth Stack V6.00.10" and it worked for me.

Sound Still Play through Speakers when Headset Connected

Most computers will only pair this earpiece as a headset for voice calls. You need to make sure the headset is paired with your device as both a phone headset and media headset. Check your settings on your computer or smartphone to make sure it is paired properly to play media sound.

Green light keeps blinking after charging it and i turn the powere on also teh sound comes and goes from one side of the headset

Blinking green light is an indication the headset is trying to establist communications with the receiver (dongle). Sound issues are normally on the side where the microphone is, this is most commonly a broken wire. The speaker wires are very small diameter. This can be fixed by a competent soldering job with new wirest from PC board to speaker inside the headset.

You need to update your audio drivers. Go to my computer, check hardware configuration, locate the audio drivers and update. If you're still running vista, then good luck. You're falling down a black hole and may never hit bottom...

No sound from headphones. Speakers work. Win7

Please clarify, Where is the Headphones connected? Front or back? if you tried it on the Front port without success, Plug in the speaker jack to the port where you did connect the Headphone and verify it's working or not. You can also try the headphone on the port where the speaker is connected.

Awaiting.

No sound coming out of head phones

Connect the headset to the port where normally a speaker is connected and you should have sound to your headsets.

Can't hear anything in "normal" mode, only in loudspeaker mode.

You need to isolate the problem. Try connecting a headset first, if you hear music coming out of the headset, then there's a problem the speaker and needs to be repaired.

But if there's no sound coming out of the headset either, then you need to check the phone or sound settings of the phone. You may simply navigate it or refer to the user manual.

If you get the same problem after modifying the settings, then bring it to the Nokia Care Center for repair.

Hope this helps and have a great day!

How do I connect a mike headset to a Dell Dimension 3000?

Does your headset have two plugs? One will plug into the mic jack that would be your Microphone. The ear part plugs into your sound out or speaker out.

No sound come through external headset or desktop speaker

Sometimes the headphone jack has its own volume control separate from the internal speakers. Check the levels in the volume mixer.
