I want tracks from alphabetical to album order...

Maybe this is the wrong place to ask this
but i got the phillips sa3346/37 4gb mp3 player for Christmas
and I love how beautiful it loooks and the music/video/pictures and even radio capability

but there's one thing that's making me almost want to kill myself because its driving me nuts
I want all of my Cd's tracks to Be displayed in album order like I'm used to when i hear the CD over and over, but its somehow organized alphabetically!!! and i cant find any help anywhere... I even called up the consumer electronics help support and i thought they helped but then it didn't make a difference

I think its set up in the device to be set up for tracks alphabetically

one thing does keep annoying me, int he manual on the computer it has boxes in blue for example

albums>alphabetically listed albums>tracks listed in album order....

and the last thing after the arrow is what I want and when I click the arrow on the right it just goes to the next song..
if anyone at all can help me with this painstaking problem I will love you forever and worship at your every breath lol OK maybe not but I will be verrrrrrry happy

bye now nate

I have the same problem as relover89 - All tracks are listed in alphabetical order, not album track order. Owner's manual indicates that tracks should be listed in album order. I have spent time re-ripping CD's to see if my rip software was the problem, but it does not seem to have any effect - When viewing any of the albums, the track information is properly stored and shows in track order on my laptop and other MP3 devices.

Try renaming the tracks on your PC with a two digit track number at the beginning of the title, e.g 01 - Track name.

Re-load the tracks on to your player and use the album list to play them.

I have downloaded soundtrack albums to the player and it mixes up all the tracks. the player is set non-shuffle. I am trying to listen to a particular soundtrack with all the tracks in order and it won't...

Usually this is because the tracks on a soundtrack album are attributed to different artists. Your player is probably ordering them by artist in alphabetical order. You might be able to tell it to order them by track number instead, or you might need to re-write the ID3 tags on the files, in a program like iTunes. It's easy to do. Once in iTunes, highlight the album and right click, go to info, and tell it that all of the songs are written by the same person. I hope this helps you! :)

Mp3 player dmp450n; tracks stored and play alphabetically; how do I make the device play album tracks in original order

Renaming not needed...Copy the album onto the folder which you use to drag and drop music to the player and then drag it again into the music folder which is a sub folder of the folder where you just copied the music to. This means you are copying from an area on the player to another area. This will keep the track listing that you originally have for the album and means no change is needed to mp3 tags.

Mp3 player dmp450n;stores and plays album tracks alphabetically, how do i make them play in original album running order?

Copy the album onto the internal media folder and then drag it again into the music folder. This means you are copying from an area on the player to another area. This will keep the track listing that you originally have for the album and means no change is needed to mp3 tags.

Hi i just got an mp3 modelm4282-r when i ripped songs from my computer to the device it placed them in various orders instead of by the album sequence in which they were ripped. the computer showed the...

You didn't do anything wrong - some mp3 players only organize tracks alphabetically.I don't know if that player lists a manufacturer other than Nokia, but it looks like you got a cheap custom-build or clone. All you can do is make sure that all of the information is correct in the ID3 tags, use Windows Media Player to transfer the songs/playlists to the player, and double-check the manual to see if they have Setting to change the order in which tracks are played.

A workaround would be to alpabetically change the names of the songs so that they play in the order you want, but on some mp3 players you cannot change that alphabetical order problem.

I want tracks from alphabetical to album order...

Set up the device for automatic synchronization in Windows Media Player (an annoying feature in and of itself) - otherwise the playlists will not transfer properly.

My lists are in reverse order

You have to delete those songs off the player, put them in reverse order in Windows Media Player, and then reload them to GoGear. I know it's a pain, but it is the only method that works.
